Retro games were interesting, weren’t they?

PRESS START BUTTON © CAPCOM CO., LTD. 1988.96 © Taishō Ruro Dō Kyōkai Rei Sō © Shūryō

1: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

There are many masterpieces, but many have not been ported due to rights issues.

2: Japan Otaku Reviews

You can play for about an hour for 100 yen, which is a great deal.

3: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

Dede dede den!

4: Japan Otaku Reviews

I didn’t feel like I could do it for just one coin with Huang Zhong.

5: Japan Otaku Reviews

Why did you hold a popularity contest?

6: Japan Otaku Reviews

There was a retro game corner behind the main game I was playing, and the game in the thread was available for 50 yen for 2 credits.

I was able to kill time like crazy by going around twice for 50 yen with a friend.

7: Japan Otaku Reviews

Tenchu 2 is truly a masterpiece, including balance adjustments.

8: Japan Otaku Reviews

I like this because it’s easy.

9: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

Text: Texture intensity inner turret.

20: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>9

It’s amazing that they cover even surprisingly rare characters.

42: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>9

I think it’s the pinnacle of employees with horrendous flat reading.

The PC Engine version is too cool.

10: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

I don’t think it’s kind, but…

It’s a good game because if you improve properly, you can clear it with a nice feeling.

11: Japan Otaku Reviews

I love CPU that has no intention of eating at all during the bonus game.

12: Japan Otaku Reviews

Three-player games are great, aren’t they?

13: Japan Otaku Reviews

Zhao Hong and the ninja are the biggest obstacles.

14: Japan Otaku Reviews

I had no idea about things like aerial throws.

15: Japan Otaku Reviews

Die on one side.

17: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

>>15

That’s quite something…

I can understand if it’s two sides.

16: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

Since Guan Yu was almost like Hagar, it was easy to use.

18: Japan Otaku Reviews

Ninjas are so annoying.

19: Japan Otaku Reviews

Enemy general! Junyu Dao!

24: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>19

“Why is someone as minor as Junyu Dao being discussed…?” said everyone who loves the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

21: Japan Otaku Reviews

Burn her at the stake.

22: Japan Otaku Reviews

Zhang Fei’s pulverizing punch is amazing!

In the original work, they were shooting through mob soldiers with a huge bow.

26: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>22

I was quite surprised that there are gore depictions when defeating enemies with special moves or weapons.

23: Japan Otaku Reviews

Isn’t Huang Zhong difficult to use?

Isn’t Zhao Yun’s firepower low?

I remember having conversations like that while doing it.

25: Japan Otaku Reviews

With this

Many people may have memorized the Five Tiger Generals.

32: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>25

I wonder if that was the case… it might have been…

27: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

Character select!

Guan Yu! Zhang Fei! Zhao Yun! Huang Zhong! Wei Yan! (Why…?)

28: Japan Otaku Reviews

UNI TONKACHI

29: Japan Otaku Reviews

Why is that…

39: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>29

You’re not in the original work!

30: Japan Otaku Reviews

Moreover, if you defeat the boss…

You can see it perfectly in the ending.

37: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>30

Bonus scores are also included.

31: Japan Otaku Reviews

You cannot defeat us, the Yellow Turban Rebels.

33: Japan Otaku Reviews

My headbutt technique.

Please take care of it.

34: Japan Otaku Reviews

The design of Lu Bu is faithful to the original work.

35: Japan Otaku Reviews

If you can defeat Xu Huang, you can definitely defeat Lü Bu.

36: Japan Otaku Reviews

Tends to escape from Cao Cao relatively easily.

38: Japan Otaku Reviews

Wasn’t there a boss warlord from an original character?

41: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>38

It should be just three women.

Just a ridiculously minor character, but still a general that is included in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

40: Japan Otaku Reviews

I hope there are three.

43: Japan Otaku Reviews

The rightful evolution of this may be Shin Sangokumusou ORIGINS.

44: Japan Otaku Reviews

The background music in this game is really cool.

45: Japan Otaku Reviews

I liked Wei Yan, who was bald, because he was easy to use.

46: Japan Otaku Reviews

The archer’s close-range attacks are painful.

47: Japan Otaku Reviews

I had fun playing casually with the belt action collection.

48: Japan Otaku Reviews

Don’t hit with a bow.

49: Japan Otaku Reviews

That old man is too annoying when playing with three people!

50: Japan Otaku Reviews

I can’t let you play for just one coin for one hour.

So I’ll send an email to request the Alien vs. Predator port…

51: Japan Otaku Reviews

I think it was because Hiroshi Motomiya hates Bachou that he isn’t here.

52: Japan Otaku Reviews

The area right before the final boss in Final Fight is amazing.

I don’t feel like I can clear it.

53: Japan Otaku Reviews

I was surprised that Punisher transferred to Reiwa…

60: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>53

I was wondering which collection it was in, and it’s MabeCap!

54: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s not a transfer, it’s a transplant.

55: Japan Otaku Reviews

Dots don’t really strain the eyes much.

56: Japan Otaku Reviews

I like Wei Yan’s somersault.

57: Japan Otaku Reviews

I played the Punisher on the port, and aside from the bosses being really tricky, it was super fun.

High-Tension Villain Beatdown Action

58: Japan Otaku Reviews

Aketechi 1 has also been ported to something, right?

64: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

>>58

Until the time of the Akesta, there was only the PC Engine.

I’m grateful that I can play with the current machine.

By the way, has the port of Area 88 been released yet?

59: Japan Otaku Reviews

Strange warriors who weaken when they ride horses.

62: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>59

So when I make an appearance, I will first dismount.

81: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>59

It seems like I reflected on the fact that the previous work was too based on horseback riding.

61: Japan Otaku Reviews

The real form of a three-player game that only Suneo has.

63: Japan Otaku Reviews

Move, this body!

Is this muscle just for show?

65: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

Capcom makes too many classic character games.

66: Japan Otaku Reviews

When it comes to character games from Belsuk, it’s Sailor Moon…

67: Japan Otaku Reviews

I laughed when I saw the question online asking if you can’t get off a horse at level 1.

Too influenced by the impression of 2!

68: Japan Otaku Reviews

The Sailor Moon Belluscon was surprisingly well-made, wasn’t it?

69: Japan Otaku Reviews

What was the one where you drive a car and battle dinosaurs?

74: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>69

Cadillacs?

70: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is it a Cadillac?

71: Japan Otaku Reviews

I don’t have much SNK, but I like Undercover Cops.

83: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>71

I love you!!!

The games made by SNK usually have poor balance, and there haven’t been any works at the level of Undercover Cops…

122: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>83

“Sengoku Denshō is a masterpiece, after all.”

I have a memory of it being fun until around 2.

72: Japan Otaku Reviews

I did 1CC with Venus in Sailor Moon, but it was really just at a playable level… I guess this is normal.

Capcom is just abnormal.

73: Japan Otaku Reviews

A sweet home only in name.

Different from the movie

75: Japan Otaku Reviews

Cadillacs bring back memories.

76: Japan Otaku Reviews

I was able to clear only Mystara and Batuserkin with one coin.

I remember watching other people play and practicing visualization by reading guides during wait times.

77: Japan Otaku Reviews

Aren’t there a limited number of enemy types in AVP?

89: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>77

There are a lot of weak Xenomorph replacements, you know.

But I’m making sure not to bore with the level design.

78: Japan Otaku Reviews

Cadillac, huh?

It’s not really getting many threads, is it?

79: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

The way Burning Fight is being praised lately is strange.

80: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is the character index also American comics?

82: Japan Otaku Reviews

Burning Fight is memorable for me because the character that appears as a striker in KOF was extremely weak and I used him.

84: Japan Otaku Reviews

League Man looked interesting.

I saw it just once.

85: Japan Otaku Reviews

Burning Fight is terrifyingly bad in terms of controls when you play it after watching the video.

I can’t even fight properly…!

86: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

The Neo Geo is generally…

96: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>86

But I really liked King of the Monsters 2.

106: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>96

The character visuals are amazing, but the difficulty is a shame…

113: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>106

It was easy during the previous wrestling game.

118: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>106

From around the middle of the game, if you get caught by the enemy, you will almost always lose in power and be thrown, so you have to defeat them with strikes the whole time, which is way too difficult.

126: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>118

Sometimes there are pro wrestling games where the outcome of the matches depends on luck, perhaps as a countermeasure against rapid-fire devices.

In that case, the main focus will be on off-axis strikes, so the visuals will be rather plain…

87: Japan Otaku Reviews

To increase customer turnover in arcade games.

I heard that the boss on the second stage is extremely strong.

Sodom Kakou Dun Razor Claw

88: Japan Otaku Reviews

KONAMI was also releasing various things.

The turtles are probably the most famous.

93: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>88

That guy Ake was quite temperamental, wasn’t he?

Home appliances are masterpieces.

90: Japan Otaku Reviews

There was a four-player table for D&D and other games at the nearby arcade.

Honestly, I could only think that the income looks really bad…

91: Japan Otaku Reviews

I was always a fan of Battle Circuit… so I was happy when it was ported…

99: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>91

It’s a good game with unique characters and abilities.

If I can earn well, strengthen myself, and defeat the Heavenly Emperor, I will feel a sense of satisfaction.

123: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>91

Later I learned that blue and silver are weak.

125: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>123

I heard that Silver is strong when used by skilled players…

I couldn’t use it well at all, so I always used yellow.

92: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is it okay to include Spike Out Slash Out in Belsque?

Also, top-down types like Valkyrie Legends or Shock Troopers.

94: Japan Otaku Reviews

I wanted to create something that was a more polished version of Top Hunter.

Metasura has come out.

95: Japan Otaku Reviews

Even during the Atomiswave era, there was quietly a Berks, but I’ve only seen it once or twice.

98: Japan Otaku Reviews

Deco’s Avengers

I wanted to try playing with six people.

110: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

>>98

There are only 4 selectable characters…

Six-player gameplay is probably mixed up with KONAMI’s X-MEN.

100: Japan Otaku Reviews

Personally, I think the arcade version of Final Fight is the optimal choice.

I’ve been able to play for 30 years with this.

101: Japan Otaku Reviews

A remake of Night Slashers has been released…

102: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is Kunio-kun the first?

103: Japan Otaku Reviews

Speaking of fun to operate, the classic AVP.

107: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

>>103

The exhilarating feeling of defeating those enemies that come swarming out feels similar to what I think of as Musou.

105: Japan Otaku Reviews

Spartan X definitely feels different.

108: Japan Otaku Reviews

I have fond memories of often playing Rushing Beat Ran with my friends back in the day.

I liked tearing apart enemies in anger mode and throwing them around.

109: Japan Otaku Reviews

I made it to the final boss in Sengoku Denshou 2001, but I’ve left it at that, and it’s a bit regretful.

132: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>109

Let’s fulfill our regrets in the arcade…

111: Japan Otaku Reviews

I wonder why such a bizarre game like Takeshin became so popular here…

112: Japan Otaku Reviews

I later heard that it doesn’t matter to lever-gacha when assembled, and I thought, “What an idiot!”

114: Japan Otaku Reviews

I loved Lone Wolf and Cub even though the difficulty was absolutely crazy…

115: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s simple but can be enjoyed quickly, so I like Dynamite Deka 2.

116: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s really helpful that things are somewhat organized in Akesta.

117: Japan Otaku Reviews

I’m not very good at balance games, but I remember being able to get up to Zhang Liao with one.

Honestly, I don’t like that the bosses have too much health, which leads to repeatedly hitting them and pushing them to the edge of the screen.

121: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>117

This was particularly evident against archers…

With both near and far reach fully covered and an excessive amount of stamina, it tends to just become a matter of continuously getting downs with jump attacks.

119: Japan Otaku Reviews

It might be avoided because it’s Jaleco, but 64th Street is really well made…

I think it’s a title that has had its evaluation reconsidered with the Akekara streaming.

120: Japan Otaku Reviews

The Original QTE Dynamite Cop

124: Japan Otaku Reviews

There was Bare Knuckle 4 in the PS Plus free games, and it was pretty interesting.

There was a character who had an uppercut like Ken’s fierce rising dragon.

127: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s a high-difficulty game where both enemies and allies get caught up in the Ultra Fighting Spirit Legend.

128: Japan Otaku Reviews

When I was a kid, I didn’t understand the mega-claw’s punch combo followed by a throw, so I would get surrounded and die, and I was so angry that I said I’d never play again!

129: Japan Otaku Reviews

Capcom games are tough, but the low HP of the enemies allows for a smooth progression, which is nice.

Cadillac is quite strong itself, and the regular enemies are easy, so as long as you can defeat the boss, it becomes easy.

The Punisher is strong enough, and while the minions are mediocre, many of the boss strategies are relatively simple.

The world is weak for me and strong for the weak; the boss isn’t that strong, but the problem is how to manage the weak.

130: Japan Otaku Reviews

The random activation of throws in Konami’s arcade games Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and X-MEN is really confusing.

The decision to make the FC Kame 2 use a lever attack throw and to adopt the double-drag technique in the SFC/MD version of Kame is either a wise decision or something that was to be expected…

131: Japan Otaku Reviews

I played the RPG, but there wasn’t one nearby here.

133: Japan Otaku Reviews

It seems like the absence of Ma Chao as a playable character in the FC version is affecting the perception of turning the Fire Tiger into Ma Chao.

134: Japan Otaku Reviews

Captain Commando has a second level boss that is too strong.

135: Japan Otaku Reviews

I think there were quite a few stores that had Tenchi 2 available.

136: Japan Otaku Reviews

I think Mutant Nation was one of the better titles from SNK at the time.

137: Japan Otaku Reviews

I like Tenchi 1 better… I got completely hooked on that unique system.

When I was in elementary school, there was a candy shop where one play cost 30 yen, and I used to play there for a long time after school.

140: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>137

I like 1 too, but it’s too difficult.

I didn’t know how to clear it because it was so difficult, so in the end, I had to keep continuing.

Now that I’ve looked into it, I found out that unless it’s Speed-type Zhao Yun and Liu Bei, it doesn’t make sense, and I learned that Guan Yu and Zhang Fei are a trap.

138: Japan Otaku Reviews

Playing D&D, after doing Mystara and then doing Doom, you end up crying from the difficulty.

I’m not weak at all, but the low-level enemies have way too much murderous intent.

The boss is too strong.

Mistara is so easy that you can clear it even while half-asleep, so I wonder what happened.

There’s hardly any other place like Mystara where you can forget the existence of Mega Crystals.

139: Japan Otaku Reviews

As for the Tower of Doom, it’s impossible because the dash slash doesn’t come out quickly from a crouching forward attack… that’s what happened.

I feel like there wasn’t even any sliding, and it was a bit impossible to really get into it as a latecomer.

141: Japan Otaku Reviews

I think it’s still a genre that can be competitive if you take it seriously.

146: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>141

I think Musou is an evolved form.

142: Japan Otaku Reviews

It seems that the SFC version of Capcom presents a much lower difficulty, allowing for smooth gameplay even in the later stages.

After playing the AC version later, everything is totally different!

143: Japan Otaku Reviews

The Avengers are recovering too slowly, which is painful.

And then I wondered who this white one is.

144: Japan Otaku Reviews

AC has a higher basic difficulty to increase the rotation rate.

145: Japan Otaku Reviews

If you can pull off a combo in the battle circuit, it’s yellow.

If not, I think Green has the stamina recovery on his own.

Isn’t health recovery in Belsuk quite lawless?

148: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>145

I think it was a completely beginner-friendly character.

It’s great that you can earn money from throwing, and it’s impressive that you can carry enemies against the three bosses.

Once you get used to it, it feels a bit lacking, doesn’t it?

I think characters like the blue ones are quite gentle since you can almost complete their upgrades by using the Shoryuken as the first move. In the Tenpei battle, it’s tough because you lose health with each Mega Crash due to the forced maximum upgrades.

147: Japan Otaku Reviews

Kindra is interesting with a balance that makes it easier for dogs to learn and succeed if they try hard.

But that’s long!

I haven’t really done night rounds much, but they seem interesting.

149: Japan Otaku Reviews

Knights of the Round had a difficulty level where you would struggle even on the first stage if you couldn’t guard.

150: Japan Otaku Reviews

Cyberbots are great, but so is Powered Gear.

151: Japan Otaku Reviews

I’ve heard that the mobile version of Arad is selling like crazy in China.

152: Japan Otaku Reviews

While Wild Fang’s blood-soaked beheading looks too hard, it’s surprisingly simple and easy to play with.

It’s the rare AC Belsac that achieved a 1 credit all.

153: Japan Otaku Reviews

Powered Gear is interesting, but I remember it being the kind of Belisk where if you miss a lot, you can’t recover easily.

Kindra has progressed quite a bit, and I thought I could finally clear it like Dragon Knight after taking it easy… but then I realized there were still about four more levels ahead, and it’s way too long, isn’t it!?

154: Japan Otaku Reviews

Kindra was about to die at around level 4, but she was having fun doing it.

I remember seeing wizards lined up when I looked at the high scores.

155: Japan Otaku Reviews

I’ve tried a thread image once, but the horse and weapons disappeared in an instant, and I was sad.

156: Japan Otaku Reviews

Aren’t the bosses in Knights of the Round too strong? Even compared to other Capcom beat ’em up bosses like in Final Fight.
