Bakū has come.
The animation is too high in calories!
Based on the exchange with Z’Gok, it seems like Director Fukuda might say something like “Make it more like Zoids!” quite normally.
This is just like Zaut, isn’t it?
“Don’t you have a nuclear missile on your shoulder?”
If anything, it’s closer to a Zaut.
Noooo
This doesn’t look like it’s running around in the desert.
This is quite the Zaku Tank, director.
I feel like if something like this attacked, it wouldn’t be surprising to call it a monster from space.
It seems like it would be a failed mobile suit that tried to combine the firepower of the Z’Gok and the mobility of the BuCUE!
The initial design of Jin was also extremely bulky.
“Is this really a mass-produced model?”
Jin’s initial draft is really cool too.
It looks like the tire is getting stuck in the sand in the desert.
It has quite a few vernier thrusters.
The first thing that was output when “four-legged” was mentioned.
The director desired Zoids.

Z’Gok doesn’t get along well with the director…
>>21
I often say that it’s easier to shape things when they are explained specifically.
“The overall concept is 〇〇, but I’ll leave the rest entirely up to you, Mr. Okawara!” seems like something they might find difficult.
>>21
Isn’t it actually amazing to be able to persist and convey your ideals without being intimidated by a bigwig?
>>24
The story goes that the person who came up with the original concept for Strike was too particular, and it didn’t go well, so someone as flexible as Okawara probably makes it easier for both sides to work together.
It feels like Caterpillar and Dekabania are competing.
Ignoring the effort required by the master to draw it, the type of mecha that’s created just to take shape is really great, isn’t it?
We even made a prototype, but we lost the competition or something like that, so I want them to give a reason to turn it into a plastic model.
Is this going to become that dog…?
It seems like the director first sketches a rough draft and hands it over.
>>25
Freedom was born from the strike variant carrying firearms like a hedgehog.
>>28
The director ordered something like fate, but…
“What Ōkawara suggested in return is the current Freedom.”
Regarding the issue of Zugok, as a toy design, Okawara’s claim is correct, and for the anime, the director is correct…
>>26
It’s just a second-rate version of Asclepius at best.
I think Mr. Gawara’s argument was wrong about that.
If you’re going to do a remake, you should do it thoroughly.
It was good that the horns grew.
Even though it’s a caterpillar, why is the contact area so small?
>>31
Isn’t it something like a high-mobility mode which allows for quick maneuvering?
I wanted to draw a cannon.
It looks strong, but my impression is more that it’s ugly. If this is the first enemy…
Dark navy with bright accent colors looks cool.
Is it gray or navy…?
The paint reminds me of the robot from Sunrise Hero Tales.
I don’t want to… Take on Kira with the orange Strike and Athrun.
“The sequence makes sense, assuming the enemies appear from the stage.”
I think the director’s style of showing mechanical design drafts to his own son to gauge a child’s reaction was quite a good approach.
Saw it with Geass
When you see the orders for Okawara for things like Strike Freedom or Destiny, it seems like the design is almost complete at the director’s rough draft stage.
In the first place, it’s quite normal to have multiple exchanges during the design development stage…
>>44
After many revisions to the design presented by Master Kawara, it’s hard to see making comments like resisting this angle on the final draft…
>>46
It’s probably about whether to compromise as a result of the exchange, right?
>>46
Mr. Gawara is reputed to be flexible and accommodating to our requests.
Isn’t it normal to retake repeatedly?
>>46
Are you misunderstanding which part the word “ordinary” is referring to, but do you understand Japanese…?
It’s amazing how it turns into a mech with a big comb, big wings, and a hero-like sword from here.
Originally, the Freedom was apparently conceptualized as having all the features of the Strike.
In a way, Destiny might be a revival of that concept.
If it’s 00, show the third generation Gundam.
“The O Gundam was created from the concept ‘Design a first-generation Gundam from this point’.”
Alva Arlon is the result of an order for a knight-type MS.
People who say “anything is fine” haven’t solidified their desired image and can’t articulate it.
When you actually return the image, it’s like, well, this and that, and they finally start giving their opinions.
It’s going to take double or triple the effort.
Was the episode where Baku moves with CG actually created by asking the Zoids staff?
Mr. Gawara is someone who can really come up with a variety of designs depending on the request.
The interaction with the director was probably good, but reaching Baku in the third draft is genius…
