Bakuu is here.
The animation artwork has too high of a calorie!
From the exchange about Z’gok, it seems like Director Fukuda might ordinarily be saying something like “Make it more like Z◯id!”
This is just like Zawoot, isn’t it?
Don’t you have nuclear missiles on your shoulder?
If anything, it’s closer to Zoot.
Nooooooooooo
It doesn’t seem like you’re running around in the desert like this.
“This is quite a Zaku Tank, director.”
If something like this attacks, I feel like it’s understandable to call it a space monster.
It seems like a failed mobile suit that was released with the claim of “Combining the firepower of Zaut and the mobility of Baku!”
Jin’s initial designs are extremely rugged.
“Is this really a mass-produced machine?”
Jin’s initial draft is also really cool.
It seems like the tire is getting stuck in the sand in the desert.
It has a lot of verniers on it, doesn’t it?
The first thing output when called a quadruped
The director desired Zoids.

“I’m not quite on good terms with the director, even with the Z’Gok…”
>>21
I’ve often said that it’s easier to visualize something when you say it specifically.
“The general image is like ‘XXX, but I will leave everything else up to Mr. Okawara!’ seems to feel uneasy.”
>>21
Isn’t it actually amazing to persist until you can convey your ideals without being intimidated by a big name?
>>24
The person who came up with the original idea for “Strike” had strong preferences, and it didn’t go well, so someone as flexible as Okawara would probably make it easier for both parties to work together.
Feels like Caterpillar and Dekavania are competing against each other.
The type of mecha that takes shape regardless of the effort put into the artwork by the master is really nice, isn’t it?
“I’d like them to make a model, giving a random reason like, ‘We lost in the competition even though we made a prototype.'”
Is this going to be that dog…?
It seems that the director initially sketches and hands it over.
>>25
Freedom was born from a Strike variant that carried firearms like a hedgehog.
>>28
The director ordered something like fate, but…
The one that Ōkawara proposed in return is the current Freedom.
Regarding the case of Z’Gok, Okawara’s claim is correct for toy design, and the director is correct for the anime.
>>26
Even if it is done, it’s just a second-rate version of Asclepius.
I think Gawara’s argument was wrong about that.
If you’re going to do a remake, I think you should go all the way.
It was good that horns grew.
What’s the point of reducing the ground contact area even though it’s a caterpillar?
>>31
Isn’t it something like a high-mobility mode that allows for tight turns?
It seems like I wanted to draw Canon.
It looks strong, but more than that, it seems like it would be perceived as ugly. If this is the first enemy…
Gray with a bright accent color on navy blue looks cool.
Is it gray or navy…?
The coloring reminds me of the robots from Sunrise Eiyuu Tan (Sunrise Hero Saga).
Oh no… Bartfeld riding on this orange thing and fighting a fierce battle with Strike.
“The order for ‘considering the enemies that appear on stage’ seems reasonable.”
I think the director’s style of showing mechanical design drafts to his own son to gauge a child’s reaction was quite a good method.
I saw it with Geass.
When looking at the orders to Kawara for Strike Freedom or Destiny, it seems like the design was almost complete at the rough sketch stage by the director.
In the first place, it’s normal to go back and forth many times during the design development stage…
>>44
I can’t normally see someone making comments like “I’ve resisted this horn, etc. after sending back retakes numerous times on the design submitted by the great Gawara, and finally settled on the final draft” lol…
>>46
That’s a discussion on whether to compromise as a result of the exchange, right?
>>46
Mr. Gawara is reputed to be flexible and accommodating to our requests.
Isn’t hitting retake repeatedly normal?
>>46
Are you sure you understand Japanese? You’re completely misunderstanding which part the word “normal” refers to.
It’s amazing how it transforms from here into a robot with a big crest, big wings, and a hero-like sword.
Originally, the concept for Freedom was to include everything from Strike.
Destiny might be, in a sense, a revival of that concept.
If it’s 00, show me the third generation Gundam.
“O Gundam was created from ‘Design a first-generation Gundam based on this.'”
The Alvaaron was created based on an order for a knight-type Mobile Suit.
People who say “anything is fine” haven’t solidified their desired image and can’t articulate it.
When you actually return the image, they finally come up with opinions like, “Well, this is that, and that is this.”
It’s going to be double or triple the effort.
Was the episode where Baku moves with CG actually created by requesting the Zoids staff to do it?
Mr. Gawara is really someone who can come up with various designs depending on the request.
The interactions with the director were probably good too, but reaching Baku by the third draft is truly genius…
