Most people are doing it diligently from the beginning, so the commentary for part 2 is still a while away.
No matter how many times I try again, I fail and my sister dies.
>>2
Clive is…
>>2
Don’t strip the equipment.
>>4
Gather 108 people.
– Choose either option that appears for a moment before getting shot, it doesn’t matter which one.
I knew this because it was mentioned in the strategy guide, but it took quite a while for me to realize that removing equipment was a bad idea.
It’s no good… I thought since Gremio from the first game was fine, this one would be okay too.
>>2
If you take off your equipment, you’ll die.
I did it in real-time, but I’ve never done number 1.
Is there a bug in the remaster? If not, I’ll buy it now.
I don’t think the temporal event with Clive really affects the clear, but I really think it’s crap.
I believed I would come back to life, so I kept my equipment as it was, but since I didn’t return as playable, I survived but felt like I wanted to strip off the equipment.
Just give them suitable armor and then you can strip them down.
I think 2 is a masterpiece, but is it possible that 1 isn’t that interesting…?
It’s just 2 in this series.
Well, if you ask whether 2 is interesting to play now, it’s both good and bad, reminiscent of RPGs from the PS era.
Even at the time, it felt cheap.
The impression of the main character and the town is just very weak.
I started from scratch without any prior knowledge, but I couldn’t find where the flying dragon was and wandered around the field for a long time.
Old games are unfriendly, or rather, you really have to pay attention to the story.
I think there were a few things that would be impossible without looking up a strategy guide…
I remember thinking, “There’s no way this is possible!” when I looked at the strategy for Crowley 1.
If you have only half-hearted information, you’ll strip the armor before the withdrawal and Nanami will die…
It’s similar to games like Arc the Lad, but it feels somewhat cheap and short compared to the first one.
A time when there were many games that released a sequel to a big title after significantly raising the quality.
It seems that Matilda’s door has been fixed, which is sad…
>>20
The transplant version was fixed at that stage, so it’s a remaster based on that.
>>23
Does that mean there might be a scene where Luka gets shot with a bow too!?
>>26
(Morro reflected archer)
It was probably common knowledge among gamers back then to take the equipment when a character leaves midway.
I feel like it would have been safe if Nanami had just kept one on her head or torso, but when it comes to removing them, she takes them all off…
It’s bad that I don’t have the room to bring spare armor with such few item slots.
I died so much that I wondered if getting the hidden seal ball at the beginning was really this hard.
I still think this guy’s experience point system is good.
I understand the sentiment that the enjoyment of nurturing is fading.
>>25
If there are 108 companions and about half of them can be used in battles, it’s more fun to make them easier to use than to enjoy raising them.
The difficulty changes a lot depending on whether you can pick up the returning blade before going to Carol.
Well, it’s actually not that difficult to begin with.
>>27
The difficulty changes, or rather, the usability of L-range characters increases significantly.
It’s a trap that can only be effectively obtained very early in the game.
I’m so happy that Joui and Nanami can do it in this era.
>>29
You know, I thought Joey wasn’t really doing much since Luca’s death, but actually, he’s been pushing the city alliance quite hard!
That said, considering the number of teammates, it would be too tough without this level of experience system.
It’s a distribution formula for experience points, and it has a significant adjustment based on the current level.
If you defeat the final dungeon’s weak enemies with one or two specific-level battle characters, it’s amusing that they usually stop growing around level 60 but can reach level 99.
Clive Eve +108 is, in theory, within the range that can be achieved if one tries hard enough on the actual machine.
Well, with remasters, it’s now easy to balance things in the settings, so it’s a good era.
>>33
If you ignore the mini-games at the main base, it’s not that difficult.
I wonder if the day will come when works from the timeline after 3 will be released, if it sells well…
>>35
You didn’t say you’d play it in the social game.
It would have made for a prettier story if I had been dead.
>>37
I feel a bit sorry for the protagonist…
Maybe he’ll be waiting for someone at the gates of the Muse for the rest of his life.
Joey is crap.
In this era, the one with a good battle tempo is easier to play…
I heard that it got rough with the content of 3, and I thought, “Was it really that bad?”
Look was the most popular character back then, huh…
>>42
There are quite a few people who say that 3 is their favorite, so it could just be that the loud voices were just causing a commotion.
>>42
I have a rough memory since it no longer runs smoothly in 2D, but is it also about the story?
>>42
This is where the discrepancy starts to arise.
Both the city alliance and Highland are so terrible that all Joey can do is take the blame, or rather…
Wasn’t social games supposed to be between a 5 and a 1?
Even if you didn’t feel that strongly about the look.
Actually, it’s understandable to think that becoming the final boss after being hit by a mental attack on top of being the true emblem holder is a bit much.
It’s not to the extent that it gets chaotic just because a few loud voices went crazy.
The problem with 3 is not there.
Wasn’t it about a year ago for mobile games?
It’s a really delicious season where it’s easy to bring out things like Georg.
The city alliance, you know! The current mayor’s generation is wicked!
>>48
(Half of it is occupied by the old-fashioned parent generation that remains, and that’s Jooi’s breaking point.)
>>54
After watching that hilltop meeting, I can totally understand why someone would feel like betraying them; there are just too many irresponsible adults.
The old folks are bad, but the Makai is also quite terrible.
>>63
They are dying from those who can be called conscience.
“Let the parent generation take responsibility and die. Annabelle’s father has already died first and escaped, which is truly unforgivable.”
>>63
It’s sad that the first thing the betrayal does is the decent act of killing Annabelle.
>>78
If the war becomes a prolonged quagmire, both countries will be exhausted, and the burden will fall on people like us and the weak ones like Pirika.
If you’re going to act for that reason, then no matter how kind and irreplaceable someone is, if a competent leader disappears, it’s not right.
An alliance with only trash left would just collapse afterward, which is why I did it.
I regret not making a reservation because I didn’t notice there were bonus items.
Is there a second round with this item?
A true emblem, aren’t these guys nothing but a nuisance?
>>51
What do you think, Recknart?
The existence of Sera-chan has touched the wrath of the older sisters…
The Muse’s hidden gem, the anger seal ball, really doesn’t drop… I can’t go anymore.
Personally, I like the characters from 3 the most.
Especially the Thomas crew.
If there was an ending where only Nanami survives as the war comes to an end, that would be the true history in my mind.
It’s not that I particularly dislike Joie, but…
I remember feeling awkward as a child when I lined up my favorite characters and ended up with three girls in the front and three boys in the back.
I feel like none of the true emblems were any good.
Is there a sound of insect wings in the remaster?
If you don’t use something like a double protagonist fusion attack, the battles won’t end smoothly.
The emblem of the night is just too irregular.
>>62
But that guy is annoying.
3 is good, isn’t it, Cecil…?
The top is a rigid armor, the bottom is a cute mini skirt, and under the helmet is a smooth long-haired 13-year-old knight apprentice; it seems like it would be really popular right now.
There are no particular disadvantages to true soil.
I think I surprisingly have a knack for mobile games.
I want it to be like Anaden Octra.
If they were to release a third installment, they would need to simplify the combat visuals in 2D, or fans probably won’t buy it.
Didn’t the true wind emblem appear in the dialogue at the beginning of 1?
It’s too much to handle that the ally’s upper management kidnapped and raped the actual final boss’s mom and got her pregnant…
The biggest disappointment of 3 was realizing that the 108 stars also included enemies!
I was excited to see what kind of guys would join until we gathered 108 people in 1 and 2.
Well, there were also variations like different-colored flying squirrels and padding in 2…
>>73
Wasn’t the color variant flying squirrel not included in the 108 stars?
Basically, I think characters who die throughout the Suikoden series complete the scenario better when they actually die.
I am going to kill Joey.
>>75
In that regard, they die in battle.
It casually appears in 2.
Those who like stories really love it and get completely hooked.
I liked the guy with the eyepatch in part 3.
I liked that line so much that I wish they would make an RPG based on the Ged story.
The beginning of 2 is too interesting.
Pigs should die! There’s nothing worth seeing beyond this point.
>>82
Don’t misunderstand.
There’s only interesting parts from start to finish!
If you want all 108 characters to shine, I think a combat system like Square Enix’s The Last Remnant would be the best. What do you think?
It seems like Look wasn’t a character that you could have that kind of attachment to…
The disappointment surrounding the Flame Hero remains in my memory.
I believe there was only one flying squirrel that entered 108.
The first generation blacksmith and the mermaid from 4, yes.
I was concerned about the poor game tempo, especially in combat, in 3.
Because 2 had a relatively good tempo, it felt even more so.
>>86
I remember the fire emblem was so terrible that it became garbage.
>>90
Because the story’s setting requires involving others…
I remember laughing to death at the theater that was my base back then, so I can evaluate it just for that.
>>88
1.2 Convert Theater I love it because it’s too much of a joke.
I thought 1 would be fun since 2 was interesting, but it turned out to be more disappointing than I expected.
An existence of that level is 1.
Don’t bring the dog on stage.
Yeah
Thanks to the theater, all the characters’ personalities really stand out, right?
>>92
There were those who, even though they lack motivation, would get serious for a role they have a strong attachment to.
I definitely think the peak is the battle with Luca, but that doesn’t mean that everything after it isn’t interesting.
The theater manager’s brief comment is quite profound.
Look-kun was extraordinarily popular in a certain circle, wasn’t he…?
It seems like there are no additional elements.
I remember that when I was mainly using Hugo and Ride-On in 3, the attack time was short and it was super powerful, so things went smoothly.
I felt that the combat tempo in 3 was poor even at the time, so they probably won’t be able to release a remaster.
Please do something about the loading of the 5.
Even with 108 people, it felt weird that the final spots were taken by fixed members.
Was it 1?
Chris-san, who is only good-looking but no good at anything else.
Ged is not in the mood to act at all and is subtly irritated.
The exceptional acting talent of the renowned actor Hugo.
In 3, the presence of the shota among the three initial protagonists was unnecessary.
Thomas should have been included as an initial main character.
I only vividly remember the one where my arm couldn’t move.
It seems that the swaying of the viewpoint during loading and walking, as well as the movement of the ship, were obstacles.
>>109
Well, there were various other things falling apart as well, so honestly, there are too many concerns that are buried.
The only good thing was the setting of the punishment emblem.
I remembered that I was looking forward to buying two text games because I had so much fun with 2, and I was preparing to transfer my save to 3 to bring over my character.
It’s my first playthrough, but should I go ahead and progress without looking at any guides?
>>111
Do as you like.
It’s not a very long game to begin with, so if you’re interested, just do another playthrough.
The Thomas edition is fun, isn’t it?
I think the supporting character was quite popular among women.
He’s a cheeky beautiful boy.
I also laid some foreshadowing in the conversation with Sasarai.
“As a side character, that’s everything.”
>>114
I was thinking that I would probably end up getting both True Emblems taken and getting knocked out when the Hikusaku comes out anyway…
The quality of the manga for 3 is so good that it doesn’t seem like a comic adaptation.
I have a memory of buying 4 at full price back then, which was referred to as a damage report.
>>116
I made some adjustments in Rapsodia and somewhat recovered in 5, but…
It was so bad that even fans of Suikoden III were driven away.
I was shocked that the number of party members decreased.
Everyone probably knows that the Look of 2 is the strongest among wizard-type characters.
In 1, the magic power is the strongest.
The thing that I felt was the most ridiculous in 4 was the raw encounter rate.
In 3, fighters smoothly take down opponents, so the combat is comfortable.
>>120
That guy who always sleeps is way too strong…
>>120
The swing skill is just way too broken.
>>120
Watching a 3D character walk clumsily to the enemy and hit them is boring…
>>126
I didn’t particularly mind because I kept dying smoothly at the same time.
I think there were people who were suddenly thrown off by the drastic change in character from a lack of motivation up to 2, rather than just a simple popularity issue.
I like the atmosphere of 4, and I love that character from 1 becoming a teammate… it’s super strong.
“Wait, we can’t go any further by boat!? Is this where it ends!?”
With the combination of Swing S and Chain Attack A, the enemies are quickly being beaten to death.
If you don’t get information about this game, you’ll normally miss out on ally characters, so that’s up to your preference.
In the novel, it was written how to have 108 companions, and when I followed that exactly, I got stuck in a one-on-one duel event where I couldn’t win no matter how hard I tried, and I cried…
My favorite strategist in the series was Shu-nii.
This area of mid-sized RPG series
I have the impression that there were difficulties with the 3D conversion.
>>134
I used to think that pixel art was better in movement and everything! But now I realize that technology needs to be used in order to be refined, so it couldn’t be helped.
>>134
I thought it was completely fine to take risks since converting it to 3D in the same way as before could end up being clichéd.
>>134
Thread image, Wild Arms, Star Ocean
Basically, the third one that came out on PS2 was that bad, and the series fell into decline after that…
Arc the Lad 3 was also on PS, but it was finished off in one hit.
>>154
Wild Arms was really doing its best, right?
The OP of 3 got me the most excited.
Well, I guess 2 is just outstandingly good in this series.
It’s understandable since it’s the first generation, but it’s not that well made.
>>138
But I liked the war system in the original because it had that feeling of the unfair rock-paper-scissors overturning the balance of power.
Looking at it now, the battles in 2 also feel a bit tedious.
I’m glad there is a speed-up option.
>>140
The battles in Suikoden from the PS1 era have a fairly good pace compared to other RPG battles of that time.
I remember that 4 was the beginning of the story, and I ended up selling it.
I’m currently playing the remaster of 1, and it’s quite interesting.
It feels like a classic.
There are so many missed elements, it’s ridiculous…
I think it’s a pretty terrible game that is just kind of forgiven because it’s an early PS RPG!
The combat sequences in 2 have been enhanced, but 1 had a satisfying high tempo.
I still think it’s a bit tiring even by the standards of that time after that.
Still, I was having fun playing.
Looking back now, it’s a system that makes you think, “Why do you need an emblem to run?”
The nameless vase and opal aren’t falling at all, more than I expected…
1 isn’t exactly a terrible game.
There are various things I lack, but…
I haven’t done it, you know.
I didn’t like the character models and the fact that it turned into a four-person party.
I was waiting to see how things went, but the evaluation was bad and I didn’t make a move…
The sluggishness of 3D model RPGs on PS and PS2 is unbearable to play now.
It’s common that you can’t send a message until the character’s movement is over.
The game portion of the first one is somewhat like that.
It was good that the loading was fast, though.
The remaster is more of a fan item; I guess the main focus is on the mobile game.
>>153
I think the delay of the 1 and 2 remaster is related to the mobile game.
When I was a child, the Kobold didn’t resonate with me that much, but when it came to the Cat Kobold in 4, I wanted it to go back to being a dog.
I surprisingly grew attached to it.
Well, before Suikoden, PS1 RPGs were things like Beyobiyo…
I think Star Ocean received criticism for its plot twist but had high praise for its gameplay.
Isn’t Wild Arms 3 the best one?
