Otaku Review Image

1: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:03Yeahx172

Who the hell is that guy…?

2: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:03Yeahx72

What is it?
That guy…

3: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:03Yeahx34

What in the world…

9: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:06Yeahx16

>>3I just came to teach a fool who doesn’t even know the basics how to make ice.

18: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:08Yeahx1

>>9When you grow up, I’ll tell you about today!

4: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:04Yeahx23

Basically, you’re sweet on Kuriko, right, Oyama?

5: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:05Yeahx2

Is this before the settlement?

8: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:06

>>5Before the settlement

6: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:06

I want to try eating it.

7: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:06Yeahx36

Is this guy’s catchphrase hate?

91: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:34

>>7People who immediately make such remarks are similar, so be careful.
It’s not good for the brain to be on high alert to delve into humanity.

121: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:46Yeahx4

>>91If a direct insult suddenly happens right in front of you, even if you are someone with peaceful ideas, you’ll be surprised, right…?

10: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:07Yeahx1

I don’t want to touch something at minus 20℃ with my bare hands…

11: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:07Yeahx11

If Kurita has a child with Yuzan, wouldn’t that settle everything?

12: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:07Yeahx42

Eh…!?

16: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:08Yeahx2

>>12It’s a sloppy ice cream!

13: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:07Yeahx85

Soft serve ice cream
as if
Messy.
That’s not the feeling!

43: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16Yeahx6

>>13Kuu~! This is it!

159: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)20:06Yeahx1

>>13Who is that guy…

14: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:07Yeahx57

Insults directed at the soft serve ice cream that comes out smoothly.

25: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:10Yeahx7

>>14If it weren’t for this one point, it would be a really great story.

15: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:07Yeahx11

It’s impressive how you’re criticizing every single soft serve ice cream.

17: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:08Yeahx3

What Yuuzan needed was a wife like Kurita-kun.

27: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:10Yeahx8

>>17I got along well with my original wife too.
It was so good that my son was left out.

29: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:11

>>17Weren’t we both enjoying BDSM play? She was a good wife, wasn’t she?
My son has become rebellious.

19: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:09

I saw Mr. Kurita aligning his shoes when he came into the house quite early on.
I feel like there was a scene where Yōzan goes “Whoa…”

20: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:09Yeahx6

What’s up with that guy? Yes, I am a strange foodie.

21: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:09Yeahx14

Why did you suddenly diss soft serve ice cream?

22: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:10Yeahx22

Wow, I was reading it while being genuinely impressed, and then I was really surprised when some bad things about Sui and soft serve ice cream came up.

32: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:11

>>22I thought I might try this since it sounded interesting, but with that sudden insult, I was like… hell no, I’m definitely not doing it.

23: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:10Yeahx2

The one who had the dominant role in our domestic SM was my wife, so wouldn’t she actually be more of a chestnut type…?

24: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:10Yeahx2

Was it necessary to diss soft serve ice cream?

26: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:10Yeahx4

The taste of soft serve is probably just different from ice cream.
This chestnut lady really has a foul mouth…

28: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:11

Based on the way you’re talking, did you eat some low-quality soft serve ice cream recently?

44: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16

>>28How many years do you think it has been since that image was posted?!

50: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16Yeahx4

>>44Isn’t it a story within the work?

30: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:11

The father, who is often thought to be sweet to his grandson and son’s wife, is actually just strict with his wife and people at work.

31: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:11Yeahx1

Isn’t it unnecessary to sandwich soft serve ice cream in the context of the conversation?

45: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16Yeahx1

>>31I think what they want to say is that it’s softer than regular ice cream, but has more substance than soft serve, and that balance makes it delicious.

49: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16

>>31Well, it might not be necessary to diss it, but this method is quite well-known now, though it might be hard to understand without comparing it to something more generally familiar…

33: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:12Yeahx1

No matter the situation, the spirit of never forgetting to diss is highly honorable.

34: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:12

Aren’t you being too strict with your son?
I’m sure it’s a form of love from Oyama since he’s quite attentive.

54: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:18

>>34Because I was preparing various things like the turnip round and sometimes scolding, it was also part of my son’s education.

35: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:13Yeahx2

Ms. Utako’s ice cream is also being lightly dissed.

41: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:15

>>35It seems like it was the wife of Chief Inspector Nakmatsu who gave the advice that adding air at the initial stage makes it taste better.

42: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:15Yeahx3

>>41But it was hard!

36: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:13

Wasn’t it supposed to be that ice cream needs to be mixed when it’s solidified?
Is this method not necessary?

37: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:13

I like being lazy!! 1!!!

51: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:17

>>37Responses from those who don’t have a solid foundation as a human being.

38: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:14Yeahx6

It’s a comic that bluntly says the tofu sold in mainland supermarkets is like raw garbage.

39: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:14

Do you have to put others down to be praised?!

40: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:14

If you’re going to react this much, it makes giving you things worthwhile, doesn’t it?

46: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16Yeahx2

I wonder why my personality and face have become so bad.

47: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16Yeahx2

It’s okay to edit the speech bubble like soft serve ice cream…

48: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:16

What the hell is that guy! What the hell is that guy!!!

52: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:18Yeahx2

To look down on others in comparison, smoothly.

53: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:18Yeahx3

Yuyama Kuriko probably doesn’t quite understand why Yamaoka-san dislikes her so much, considering that Kuriko is sweet.

55: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:19

Why did you suddenly come to feed me ice cream…

58: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:21Yeahx5

>>55Isn’t it that Kuri has no appetite or something like that?
As far as I can see from this page.

60: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:22Yeahx3

>>55I could eat this as much as I want! So you can imagine why I can’t eat store-bought ice cream anymore.

67: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:25

>>60It seems like Yamaka might have brought ice cream for Utako as a setup.

56: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:19Yeahx2

The part about being long-winded really has been inherited by my son.

57: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:20Yeahx1

This grandfather is really smitten by his grandchild.

59: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:22

The soft serve ice cream at cheap internet cafes does indeed have a lackluster taste.

61: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:23Yeahx2

When you get excited and do it for a research project, it often doesn’t freeze properly and ends up being a mess.

62: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:23Yeahx1

If you don’t stir the contents of this can, it won’t properly contain air, right?

74: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:27

>>62At the Jajja place, they’re spinning the cans a lot, so they’ll mix themselves automatically.

63: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:23

Is there anything that doesn’t mock in this manga?

64: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:24Yeahx1

In the early stages, even relatively inexpensive things can taste good if you prepare them properly.
There were also occasional talks like that.

65: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:25

Is the ice cream at Utako’s place hard…?

66: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:25

If you don’t do it well, it will become crunchy, right?

68: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:25

It’s not just soft, but it’s supposed to be tastier than that.
Who is that guy…?

69: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:26Yeahx5

The stubborn and quirky old man who puts his hand into the ice to make ice cream for his daughter-in-law and grandson is quite a charming element, isn’t it?

73: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:27

>>69It’s an easy-to-understand tsundere…

70: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:26

You’re surprisingly the type of person who actively takes action yourself, aren’t you?
I also mastered pottery.

71: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:27

Well, soft serve is mostly just lacto ice cream, isn’t it?

72: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:27Yeahx9

Regarding ice cream, while the origin might be this way, there’s an understanding that it can’t be too cold once it’s distributed as a product, so it’s expressed in a somewhat gentle manner.
What’s up with the hate for soft serve ice cream?

75: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:28Yeahx2

My wife has also naturally started to use insults, which fits this household.

76: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:28Yeahx3

This is how Kurita was brainwashed and turned into a sympathizer.
Mental NTR…

83: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:32

>>76Kurita is a mediator, so if there is a fault on the Oyama side (which rarely happens since he became a grandfather), he will accompany Yamaoka.

77: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:29

It’s hard to convey just “delicious,” so I have to say it’s more delicious than ○○.

78: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:30Yeahx1

When you actually try it, it doesn’t harden at all.

79: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:30Yeahx1

I understand that Kurita himself might become a sympathizer, but it’s a mystery why he seems to have the stance that Yamaoka, who is at odds with the Kurita family, is to blame.

80: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:31

“I will accept all of you!” declared Kurita, and eventually
The process of Yamaoka saying, “You are wrong, Professor Yōzan is correct!” and disregarding her husband.

81: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:32Yeahx5

In the first place, the temperature of soft serve ice cream is basically below -10 degrees.
By the way, soft serve ice cream has less milk fat and milk solids than regular ice cream, so it has a better melt-in-your-mouth feel and texture.
In other words, by definition, soft serve is what you eat before the hardening process of ice cream.

82: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:32

It’s obvious that I care enough to go through all this trouble to send my well wishes, yet you guys are being pathetic and trying to cover it up with mean comments, which is even more pathetic, Oyama.
Be more honest.

84: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:32

Soft serve ice cream is too delicious!

85: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:32

My wife M seems to have been a master M, which is way too much emotional abuse for the kids.

86: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:32

Energy Wife Kurita

87: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:33

I want to make it at least like the hand-cranked machine on page 6.

88: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:33

But this might sound a bit harsh, I just brought ice cream for my grandson and my son’s wife, so I think Yōzan was surprised when his daughter-in-law suddenly criticized the soft serve.

89: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:33

Make sure to wipe the moisture around it properly before opening the lid, otherwise the saltwater will flow in and it will become really salty.
I messed up when I made it as a child.

90: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:33Yeahx1

Indeed, children born later in life are really adorable.

93: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:34

>>90Huh…?

92: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:34

I wonder why people criticize something else when they are complimenting.

94: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:34Yeahx1

Sometimes it’s introduced as a trick to chill beer in an instant, like rolling it on ice, which is something Yozan does.

104: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:38

>>94Isn’t there a doubt about chilling beer to the bone even though you’re a gourmet?

105: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:39Yeahx2

>>104What a sloppy command of the Japanese language!

109: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:40

>>104Japanese beer is made with the assumption that it will be drunk ice-cold… except for Ebisu beer, which tends not to spoil.

95: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:35

Even if you and Shirou are called pathetic, just brush it off and accurately hit the dere points.

96: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:35

But you’ve become strong, Shakkiripon-san.

97: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:36Yeahx1

If we say that the commercial product is due to temperature, then the soft serve ice cream that is being dissed is made at around -10°C, so it should be just perfect.
I just want to promote natural handmade products, so those aspects are ignored.

100: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:38

>>97“It’s not a lazy feeling like soft serve ice cream!”

98: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:37

If it’s more delicious than 〇〇, I guess it wouldn’t bother me.
You deliberately give a mocking sentence like “sloppy XX” or “pathetic XX.”

99: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:38

Hmm, is that kind of response being appreciated on the bulletin board?

101: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:38

Time and effort invested = unconditional victory.

102: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:38

It seems like my hands will hurt if I touch it at -20 degrees for a long time.
I remembered the experiment of dipping my finger in ice water.

103: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:38

They’re calling it soft serve.
It might have been soft serve cone ice cream like the kind sold in supermarket ice cases…

106: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:40Yeahx1

The fact that the boy I brought with me doesn’t even understand how to do it, yet he’s saying to let him try instead of getting angry, shows he’s in a pretty good mood…

113: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:42

>>106Ryōzō probably hasn’t learned how to make ice cream either…
You just brought this along for the sake of it, right?

107: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:40

Look! My hands have become numb!

108: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:40

If it were a conversation about milk, one might say that ice milk, which is consumed chilled, is heretical.

110: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:41

Rather, soft serve ice cream reduces the heaviness of milk fat by incorporating air, like a shake.
Since it became popular because it is softer and easier to eat due to the higher temperature mentioned above.
It should be the exact opposite of being sloppy…

117: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:44Yeahx1

>>110*This is Ms. Kurita’s impression after giving birth.*

111: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:41

What is the mechanism behind the temperature drop when salt is added?

143: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:56

>>111When salt is added, the ice melts faster → In melting, it rapidly absorbs heat from the surroundings → It becomes lower than 0 degrees.

112: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:41

Even the salt to put in the ice is the expensive-looking one that comes in a jar, it’s super luxurious.

114: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:42

Things like this
That kind of thing
Feeling grateful.
Is generally the image of a set.

116: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:44Yeahx3

Introduce the ice cream mix and air into the freezer, rapidly cooling to a temperature of approximately -2 to -9°C to freeze. By rapidly freezing while vigorously stirring, air is trapped in the ice cream as bubbles, resulting in the distinctive texture of ice cream. The ratio of the volume of this trapped air to the volume of the ice cream mix is called overrun. An appropriate overrun varies depending on the composition of the ice cream mix; if it is too low, the texture becomes hard and too cold, while if too high, the texture becomes dry and crumbly. The faster the freezing speed, the finer the ice crystals become, resulting in smoother textured ice cream. During this freezing, approximately 50-80% of the moisture in the ice cream is in a frozen state. Soft serve is the ice cream taken out and served at this point.I didn’t know that…

126: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:48Yeahx1

>>116According to this definition, isn’t what Oyama is serving in the thread a soft serve ice cream?

118: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:45Yeahx5

I didn’t have a sloppy image of soft serve ice cream.

125: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:47

>>118Isn’t the image that it melts and becomes gooey while you’re eating, dribbling down from the edge of the cone and getting all soft and floppy, looking like a mess?

132: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:52

>>125I have developed a sloppy image with soft serve ice cream.

119: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:45

There are actually people who feel like they need to criticize something in order to balance out when they compliment something.

123: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:47

I wanted to write that even though it’s soft, it has a different texture from soft serve ice cream.
I think the expression I chose was not good.

124: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:47Yeahx2

Well, if someone suddenly says something like “the soft serve ice cream is sloppy,” you’d think, “What’s that all about…?”

127: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:48

In the final stages of the series, Yōzan has become softer, but the harshness of Yamaoka and the former Kurita stands out.

128: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:49

Since Shirou isn’t here, it’s understandable that Yuuzan is in a good mood with this lineup.

129: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:49

If it’s too frozen and hard, just heat it in the microwave.

134: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:53

>>129Whether it’s a microwave or not, Häagen-Dazs is also said to wait for about 10 minutes after taking it out of the freezer, right?

130: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:51Yeahx4

There is only one correct answer, and all other similar items are generally incorrect and counterfeit.
When you have that kind of mindset, belittling something becomes a package deal.

141: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:56Yeahx2

>>130In addition to this, it seems that Curry is relying on secondhand knowledge, so as has already been pointed out, his criticisms often feel off the mark or contradictory.

131: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:51

No matter how good the couple’s relationship is, it’s cruel to inflict emotional wounds on Mr. Yamaoka.

133: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:52Yeahx3

The reconciliation between father and son is a good thing, but I don’t really like Kurita’s behavior around this area.
Yamaoka-san is just too pitiful.

135: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:53Yeahx2

*This is purely Kurita’s personal opinion.

136: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:53Yeahx1

I’m so surprised by how much flattery they use…

137: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:54

Isn’t there something like a session on how to make delicious soft serve ice cream instead?

138: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:54

You’re driving a stupid car…

139: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:54

As for Kurita himself, that’s a different story, but what about his family…

145: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:57

>>139Ordinary people tend to have a strong inclination towards authoritarianism.
In Japan, a top potter like Ouyama and my daughter, a regular person working at a newspaper, cannot compete in terms of social status, influence, or value…

140: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:55

Isn’t minus 30 to 40 degrees Celsius too low…?

149: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:59

>>140Ice cream is also made at around minus 10 degrees Celsius once (eating it at this point is soft serve).
Ice cream is made by freezing all the remaining moisture after packing it into a container, so it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s at minus 30 to 40 degrees.
There are also things like ice made by instant cooling with liquid nitrogen.

144: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:57

Kurita uses flattery on Yozan, but a husband like Yozan is absolutely out of the question.
If Mr. Yamaoka seems like he might do something similar, he’ll get mad.

146: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:58

>>144When getting married, what is the solemn declaration of “I will accept all of you”…?

152: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)20:00

>>146Kurita doesn’t particularly want Yamaoka to succeed anyway.

147: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:58Yeahx1

There’s no way a soft serve ice cream that looks like poop isn’t unkempt.

148: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:59

Is this the place with that awful obstetrician-gynecologist?

150: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)19:59

What the… are you mocking my rock-solid Super Cup?

151: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)20:00

Didn’t we talk about ice cream in the early days!?
