Grappler Ultimate Tournament Edition -Presented by Anime-Ancestors-
Honestly, I think this one is a weirder OP than “I believe.”We didn’t use this 3D model at all in the main story, right?
A song with no excitement.
Indescribable CGI
Is it some kind of game tie-up?
>>3I was wondering if it’s a reuse of the fighting game from the final chapter on PS2.
>>6When compared, that one isn’t made very well.
The quality here has dramatically increased, but the presentation is really bad and the music is…
I feel like the 3D that was used here and there in the death row inmate arc had this kind of quality.
I wonder what it is, really.
The reason why “I believe” gets turned into a meme is that it has an incredibly exciting start…
>>7The intro is really cool, isn’t it?
It’s just a strange song that seems like it would get exciting when you listen to it overall, but it doesn’t.
Moreover, a lot of characters appear in the maximum tournament.
Although they are popular characters, only Baki, Doppo, and Retsu have been created.
The ED is hard to describe.
Looking at it this way, I think the problem in this era is more about the presentation than the quality of the CG.
The contrast between CG Baki and hand-drawn Yu-chan is really terrible.
Yuu-chan, who is placed at the end as if to just put it out for now.
I’m trying hard to figure out how to move it.
But I’m just doing something alone all the time, and there are no special effects…
I don’t think the beginning is that bad.
From the moment I get caught… I can no longer make any excuses.
>>16It’s been said for a long time that the intro is relatively good, but the chorus isn’t great…
2018 edition
>>17Wow, it really has evolved…
>>17I wanted to do this…
>>30Did technology catch up to the concept before the Reiwa era…?
The underground fighting arena is really small.
I wonder why they used such strange songs with no excitement.
>>20The team that is collaborating has the same team for all the songs… same lyricist, composer, and vocalist.
Rei and Doppō are probably based on some original material for their performances, but the fact that Baki is a lame shadow character is the worst.
I like the movements of the dance, the final fight OP.
I think the way the tempo is varied in the performance of the “Retsu” is well done even now.
Doppo-chan doing a three-hit Gachon.
I feel like with the right lighting and composition, even a thread picture could turn out well, but I suppose that’s also a skill.
Watching this OP late at night makes me super sleepy.
The image in the thread is, to put it mildly, not the ending…
I feel like the CG was quite impressive for its time.
>>31Is it 2001?
Well, I think this CG is quite smooth and pretty amazing.
I really like Masami Kikuchi’s Baki.
>>33You’re quite a hot guy, aren’t you?
I think they could have just kept the CG as is and set it to 1.5 times speed.
I personally like the relaxed appearance of Baki’s shadow.
Difference between manual motion and capture motion.
Aibelieve is in a completely different category of interesting, so you shouldn’t compare it to the thread picture.
I think Masami Kikuchi and Kappe are perfect for Baki from the Grappler era.
Nobunaga Shimazaki suits the role after Baki, but the Grappler side…
The underground arena arc just before the final tournament was pretty good.
Since entering “Saikou,” the animation quality has suddenly become tougher, and I particularly remember the incredible performance of Katsumi on the washi paper.
The final episode had a bit of the Yashigani phenomenon happening…
In 2001, it was the very early days of toon rendering.
Even so, it’s technically the latest, so it’s impressive.
The directing aspect is not refined.
