[Case Closed] Detective number 107.

Aoyama Gosho’s Detective Encyclopedia 107 Kido Shinya Anzaki Shinya

1: Japan Otaku Reviews

Isn’t it Akane-chan?

2: Japan Otaku Reviews

Because Kanta will appear in this year’s theatrical version…

3: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx10

I can tell who it is from the thumbnail, so it’s impressive.

4: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx18

Is it okay to be a detective…?

5: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx10

Katakyon

6: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is it moderately strong even in the world of Conan?

7: Japan Otaku Reviews

Mr. Ukyo and the detective should have already left, so I guess it’s okay to include him as a detective.

8: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx27

It’s nice to be able to see characters from other anime and manga in Aoyama’s design.

Recently, there’s also Mao Mao.

9: Japan Otaku Reviews

There’s no awareness of detectives in the police officer category.

It’s too late now, isn’t it?

10: Japan Otaku Reviews

Has the Butt Detective already come out?

11: Japan Otaku Reviews

I casually wonder what L is like still.

17: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s the vibe of being the brainy character in a story.

18: Japan Otaku Reviews

This introduction section for famous detectives tends to feature a wide range of characters who solve or explain mysteries within the story.

19: Japan Otaku Reviews

Naruhodo-kun is doing almost detective work…

20: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Are you a psychopath?

21: Japan Otaku Reviews

It seems like Nisio Isin’s works are about to be released but haven’t come out yet.

23: Japan Otaku Reviews

Sometimes, there comes someone who is incredibly compatible with Aoyama.

24: Japan Otaku Reviews

If it’s Kougami-san, a black suit would be good.

27: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Since Arsène Lupin appears in the fourth installment, anything goes.

28: Japan Otaku Reviews

Did the princess show up?

30: Japan Otaku Reviews

However, there are also some unorthodox choices.

It seems there are an enormous number of detective characters in the world, so much so that they don’t seem to be running out of ideas…

31: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx5

There were fireflies and such, right?

33: Japan Otaku Reviews

I’m thinking that eventually Neuro might come too.

35: Japan Otaku Reviews

I don’t think Touma-kun has appeared yet.

37: Japan Otaku Reviews

I mostly get into this corner more through dramas and anime rather than reading books.

39: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is there a restriction like one author one detective?

There’s no overlap with other authors besides Christie, right?

41: Japan Otaku Reviews

Well, I guess we just have to reanimate Neuro after all…

45: Japan Otaku Reviews

I would love to see a Kindaichi boy in Conan style someday.

48: Japan Otaku Reviews

Ukyo was there too, right?

49: Japan Otaku Reviews

I want to see Aoyama Gashotaro, but I also want to see the two of them fitting together as one detective with a big impact.

50: Japan Otaku Reviews

Let’s assume that things like KuroCoach have already been released.

51: Japan Otaku Reviews

In addition to Kindaichi, there is Yuriko Rintaro in the works of Masashi Yokomizo, but I’m not sure how much of a major character he is…

52: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Kindaichi is leaving it blatantly…

It will probably happen around the final volume.

53: Japan Otaku Reviews

If the copyright is cleared, I wonder if Batman will eventually appear.

Among the titles, there’s one that says “the world’s best detective.”

54: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Kindaichi, you did the grandfather’s part, right?

55: Japan Otaku Reviews

If I were to be extravagant, I would want to see Aoyama’s Marnie…

56: Japan Otaku Reviews

Isn’t the final volume supposed to be Edogawa Conan!?

58: Japan Otaku Reviews

The cats were also good.

59: Japan Otaku Reviews

Naruhodo-kun did it, so I guess Odoroki-kun can come out too, along with the gorilla.

60: Japan Otaku Reviews

If it’s Kamen Rider W, then it’s probably Philip.

To be honest, I want to see Shoutarou too, but he’s mainly in charge of brains after all.

61: Japan Otaku Reviews

Naoko Yamada will probably appear eventually.

62: Japan Otaku Reviews

I was wondering if Ms. Yagami would come, but I guess the author probably doesn’t have the time to do it anyway…

63: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Kyoko Okitegami’s drama was well-made.

64: Japan Otaku Reviews

Every season, some mystery work is being adapted into an anime or drama, so it seems there will always be detectives.

65: Japan Otaku Reviews

Atsuhiro Tsuda, draw.

69: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

I thought it might be a volume running out of ideas.

I thought it might be a volume running out of ideas.

Aoyama Gosho’s Detective Encyclopedia 102: Seiko Fuji. This time, I will introduce Seiko Fuji! She is a stunningly capable police officer working at a police box! An elite detective who graduated at the top of her police academy, her handsome looks have elicited jealousy from those around her, leading to case thefts and false allegations of power harassment against her juniors, resulting in her being demoted to the police box. Nevertheless, she remains a beautiful woman whose appearance and demeanor turn heads, though her personality is strong-willed and sharp-tongued. Because of this, her colleagues call her “Mounting Griss.” She maintains a calm and composed demeanor during investigations. With accurate judgment and quick actions, she leads to the resolution of cases. Partnering with Fuji is the rookie officer Mai Kawai. After struggling under strict conditions, she contemplated resigning, but while being led around by Fuji, she gradually becomes more like a police officer… By the way, the author of the original comic, Taizanko, has a background as a former police officer. This is her first time drawing manga, but she was accustomed to capturing people’s facial features from her experience in drawing portraits. Actually, I also have experience working part-time as a portrait artist, but whether that experience is being utilized now is uncertain… (laughs) (My recommendation is “Fuji’s Defeat.”)

70: Japan Otaku Reviews

Did you find a sacred well or a sake well?

72: Japan Otaku Reviews

I feel that Mr. Rohan leans more towards the live-action version.

74: Japan Otaku Reviews

This person is honestly amazing.

You’re quite old, yet you’re still following recent anime culture.

76: Japan Otaku Reviews

If these guys can go, can’t we go to Kindaichi or QED?

77: Japan Otaku Reviews

Even people who aren’t related to Rohan Kishibe or the police appear, right?

78: Japan Otaku Reviews

Recently, it seems to be Takaoh Amakusa being adapted into anime and drama.

80: Japan Otaku Reviews

I wonder if Aoyama will suddenly change and turn into a super erotic manga.

81: Japan Otaku Reviews

I wonder who has been the most surprising introduction I’ve ever had.

Is this character coming!?

Is it okay to treat this as a detective case!? With those two.

82: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is the Mercator sweetfish still not around yet?

83: Japan Otaku Reviews

It feels like Naruhodou-kun has finally come out.

85: Japan Otaku Reviews

Kuno Seiri, also known as Polycore Afro, is doing it too.

86: Japan Otaku Reviews

I felt like I was playing Milky Holmes, but I might not have been.

90: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

Riko Rinda is great, isn’t she?

93: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Even at the end, I hope for one thing, like a lamp horse.

94: Japan Otaku Reviews

There’s also the fact that I can’t write recommendations unless I engage with a few works first.

95: Japan Otaku Reviews

Isn’t the number one still not here!? I wonder who it will be.

Lord Peter, perhaps?

96: Japan Otaku Reviews

This is me.

This is me.

97: Japan Otaku Reviews

Has “Mugen Gentleman” already been released?

98: Japan Otaku Reviews

Have you read everything by the author?

99: Japan Otaku Reviews

Since there is grandpa…

100: Japan Otaku Reviews

I think they only introduce the ones they’ve read or seen.

101: Japan Otaku Reviews

It is also a corner where you can see fan art by Gosho Aoyama.

106: Japan Otaku Reviews

If Oshiritan-tei is introduced, then probably Goushou is eating a fart under the same cover.

107: Japan Otaku Reviews

It might be that I haven’t properly followed along since the recommended episodes are usually the first volume or the first episode.

108: Japan Otaku Reviews

To be honest, once we start releasing games, we can have hundreds of them.

109: Japan Otaku Reviews

Even though Dr. House is out, no one from CSI is here?

110: Japan Otaku Reviews

Was Taichi Hiraga Keaton appearing?

I’m not a detective, but I do things that seem like a detective.

111: Japan Otaku Reviews

I’m happy that you also draw live-action.

By the way, your drawing is amazing…

112: Japan Otaku Reviews

When I look at the list, there are a lot of doctors who are professors at police universities.

113: Japan Otaku Reviews

If Layton comes, then Naruhodo will come eventually… right?

114: Japan Otaku Reviews

I wonder if Yagami from Judgment will be available.

115: Japan Otaku Reviews

There are games too.

There are games too.

Aoyama Gosho’s Detective Encyclopedia 103: Professor Layton When it comes to difficult cases, strange mysteries are always involved… Therefore, let me introduce the reliable genius of puzzle-solving, Professor Layton! Hershel Layton, a British gentleman with a love for tea, is known for his trademark silk hat. He is a famous archaeologist and, together with his assistant Luke, has a track record of solving numerous cases, making him a “master of the mysterious study.” No matter what situation he finds himself in, he remains calm and composed. With his sharp powers of observation, insight, and the inspirations that come to his mind, there is no mystery he cannot solve. Even when faced with danger, he skillfully navigates through it with the fencing skills he acquired during his student days! By the way, the game series in which he stars features puzzles so voluminous that actor Yoshio Oizumi, who voices him, once said, “The puzzles get in the way of advancing the story.” I hope our Conan will also take on this game… (laughs) (My recommendation is… ‘Professor Layton and the Curious Village’)

117: Japan Otaku Reviews

Once they start introducing famous characters that have been saved, that’s the beginning of the end.

119: Japan Otaku Reviews

I want to see Thomas-kun from Aoyama’s drawing in QED.

What I really want to see in Aoyama’s illustration is Mizuhara-san…

122: Japan Otaku Reviews

I want to see Aoyama’s painting of Jinjuji Saburo!

123: Japan Otaku Reviews

Isn’t Kindaichi showing up?!

124: Japan Otaku Reviews

If there are 107 people, it doesn’t seem like being limited to detectives would lead to a lack of material, but I guess it’s fine either way.

126: Japan Otaku Reviews

I want to see Kirigiri-san.

128: Japan Otaku Reviews

Speaking of which, Kyogokudo was already out.

130: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

I remember that Ukyo was also in it, but it felt more real than Aoyama Nize.

I wanted to see Aoyama Nais as well.

131: Japan Otaku Reviews

There might not be that many detective novels worldwide, maybe?

133: Japan Otaku Reviews

In terms of games, the detectives that come to mind are probably Kirigiri-san and Yagami.

It seems like Connor could also be treated as a detective.

135: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

It’s surprising that the Mephisto series, which has so many detectives, hasn’t made an appearance even once.

I wonder if it’s due to constraints related to publishing.

136: Japan Otaku Reviews

Since characters like James Bond and Inspector Zenigata appear, the scope is quite broad even when broadly categorized.

137: Japan Otaku Reviews

Isn’t the live-action rare because we only see Aoyama Nize?

139: Japan Otaku Reviews

Well, you’re probably always looking for ideas, so maybe you’ve read the ones I’ve introduced too?

140: Japan Otaku Reviews

Without a doubt, it's a CV fella.

Aoyama Gosho’s Detective Encyclopedia 83 Houtarou Oreki Usually quiet and unassuming, but when he speaks, he gives brilliant deductions – such a “capable hawk hides its talons.”

Without a doubt, it’s a CV fella.

142: Japan Otaku Reviews

Everyone thinks it’s definitely the final volume for Hajime-chan…

143: Japan Otaku Reviews

If something comes out of Seiryouin, it would be Tsukumo Tsukumo after all, wouldn’t it?

145: Japan Otaku Reviews

Is the old man still not in the encyclopedia?

146: Japan Otaku Reviews

If it were to come out from Neuro, I wonder if it would be Neuro or Yako.

147: Japan Otaku Reviews

In the end, it’s Shinichi Kudo!

148: Japan Otaku Reviews

I feel that having a fixed visual image through manga, illustrations, or live-action adaptations is the first condition.

149: Japan Otaku Reviews

There are some characters that match so well that I really hope they create a special collaboration one-shot just like this.

150: Japan Otaku Reviews

I'm watching anime this season. Is it about the drama?

Aoyama Gosho’s Detective Encyclopedia 82 Kageyama

I’m watching anime this season.

Is it about the drama?

153: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

The drawing is too good.

154: Japan Otaku Reviews

Detective? Not a police officer?

155: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

Is Naegi-kun still not here?

156: Japan Otaku Reviews

If it’s coming from the Urban Legend Disassembly Center, is it the director or Azami?

157: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

If Danganronpa is coming, I feel like I’d rather have it introduced through a spin-off novel than a game.

159: Japan Otaku Reviews

Hajime-chan seems to be coming just before the end.

160: Japan Otaku Reviews

If Shinichi Kudo has already appeared, I want it to end with Edogawa Conan… I hope it concludes with the detective aspect.

161: Japan Otaku Reviews

As expected, the American comic-style detective characters haven’t arrived yet.

162: Japan Otaku Reviews

Detective Tsuda really wants to be let in.

163: Japan Otaku Reviews

I feel like there are quite a few choices that make you think, “Is this also something you’re into?!” when it comes to Western movies.

164: Japan Otaku Reviews

If it’s okay to treat Rohan as a detective, then it should also be fine to consider Baka from Usogui as one too.

165: Japan Otaku Reviews

SHERLOCK is good… that’s what I thought.

168: Japan Otaku Reviews

Since Mariko is here, it seems like anyone could come if it’s within the scope of a police drama.

169: Japan Otaku Reviews

Since I casually started this, I ended up having to draw 107 people…

170: Japan Otaku Reviews

I think there’s something good in any mystery story.

171: Japan Otaku Reviews

I hope Yamada from TRICK comes someday.

172: Japan Otaku Reviews

Kogami is a mercenary, after all…

174: Japan Otaku Reviews

I wonder if Yume Mizu Kiyoshiro will make an appearance somewhere.

175: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

The generation that grew up watching detective encyclopedias in their early years has continued long enough to lend their characters as creators.

177: Japan Otaku Reviews

I was wondering if Shinichi appeared, and then I realized he was on the special edition cover.

179: Japan Otaku Reviews

I’ve thought for a while that it’s okay to have original characters that aren’t related to Shogakukan.

It was like that at the time of Sherlock Holmes.

180: Japan Otaku Reviews

Many American comic vigilante heroes are characters who engage in mystery-solving investigations.

181: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

The script for the forensic research lab was written by the same person who wrote the script for the Conan movie.

Introducing Mariko Sakaki, a forensic expert! She is a forensic researcher at the Kyoto Prefectural Police Science Investigation Laboratory. A single mother with a divorce, she is a complete science nerd with zero artistic talent. She struggles with cooking and claims her meals consist of cup noodles. A hardcore research enthusiast, her weapon is the forensic techniques trained by the FBI. However, when she gets absorbed in her work, she can become oblivious to her surroundings and sometimes overlooks rules, leading to reprimands, but it’s all for solving cases. Together with her reliable colleagues and the police officers from the Kyoto Prefectural Police’s First Division, she steadily pursues the suspect with her persistence and patience. By the way, many of the scripts for the series where she appears are written by Takeharu Sakurai, who also writes scripts for the Conan movies. It would be interesting if a collaboration between Conan and Mariko Sakaki could happen someday… but a collaboration between anime and live action is probably impossible… (laughs) (My recommendation is… “The Woman of Science Investigation, The Movie.”)

The script for the forensic research lab was written by the same person who wrote the script for the Conan movie.

182: Japan Otaku Reviews

It also includes fireflies, you know.

183: Japan Otaku Reviews

The first time I went “Oh!?” as a child was with this.

Calico Cat Holmes

184: Japan Otaku Reviews

“Grandpa has been around since quite an early stage.”

189: Japan Otaku Reviews

By the way, the only female detective is Neko Neko.
