It’s Pallet Town… Is it stylish?
I used to have so much fun playing on such a small map…
Yamabuki has good access, but it’s not that impressive…
>>3The urban functions are paralyzed, you know.
Since there are quite a few cave maps and dungeons, you’ll actually be walking a bit more.
The route selection itself can be quite restrictive, but it’s nice that it gives a sense of freedom in adventure, which is one of the good points of the original.
>>6I don’t really get told to do this or that much.
>>62What was the point of the late-generation Pokémon being managed with flags and randomly blocked off, even though they had special moves?
>>62You can stomp your feet in the grass over there and try to catch it.
It’s okay to hurry ahead with excitement, wondering what lies ahead.
Hanada to Kuchiba, or Shion to Tamamushi, I think it was the underground passage that was skipped over, right?
Unnecessarily long badge checkpoint.
>>8What are those people doing inspecting underwater?
Moreover, there are two people.
>>8It’s long, but the fact that it allows you to enter bushes step by step is an advantage not found in later works.
>>8I want to go more every time I earn a badge.
I love it with excitement.
I’ve seen the Gold and Silver version Kanto dots occasionally, but this is the first time I’ve seen this one.
I heard rumors that there are offsets on the cycling road, but it seems to fit normally…
Diglett’s Cave is an amazing shortcut.
Looking at it like this, doesn’t the Diglett’s Cave look amazing?
Huh? How does the Saint Anne ship get out to the open sea?
>>13The area around the cycling road might actually be some kind of bridge.
>>14In the anime, it seems like the cycling road was a bridge.
I didn’t think about it while I was playing, but Route 12 is long, and there aren’t even any decent detours.
The timing for obtaining a good fishing rod is definitely strange.
Hanada is smaller than my memory.
It was fun even on such a small map.
I don’t have the impression that it was cramped because I played it on the Game Boy screen.
Yamabuki is in a good position, but because of that, it’s blocked off, so the movement lines are really messed up.
I guess the Saint Anne won’t come out after all…
The many facilities and houses make it feel more like a capital city, and it leaves a strong impression…
Was there an area like this in the upper left…?
It probably doesn’t leave much of an impression since it only happens once and there are no rival matches right before the league.
The irrelevant parts are omitted, so it’s no wonder that it looks like Sainte-Anne can’t appear.
Basically, there are too few houses in the town.
The town is smaller than my memories…
>>29We have grown big.
>>39It’s the climax of Stand By Me…
I wonder why the cycling road for gold and silver (Tama Mushi side) didn’t make sense.
The sense of freedom in travel isn’t diminished because I learn to fly in just the right timing.
Just looking at this, I wouldn’t understand if someone told me this is the Kanto Plain.
The sea between the Sekichiku Masara is much simpler than memory.
Actually, I encounter Menokurage quite often, so it feels pretty long.
I don’t want to live in Masara Tokiwani Biglen.
The graphic on the sign is somehow different.
>>35The overseas versions of Red/Blue correspond to Japan’s Pokémon Red/Green, but the graphics (not all) are based on Japan’s Pokémon Blue.
The ocean felt vast, perhaps because I got lost on Twin Island.
This is about half in Chiba.
It feels wider than I expected while walking in the game.
When you actually play, it feels spacious compared to the number of spaces that can be displayed on the screen.
The design of being able to surf north from Grentown and hear the BGM of Masara Town upon reaching land is truly impressive.
I think the map quality was higher during the pixel era than in 3D.
>>43It can also be said that it is just being supplemented by imagination.
I’m not quite sure about the route we took after Hanada.
Go to Kuciba through Digda’s hole, return to Hanada, and go to Shion via Iwayama Tunnel.
Is it correct that I can go through Yamabuki, pass through the cycling road to Seikichiku, and use Surf to get to Garn Island?
>>44It will probably be an underground passage from the Zion side to Tamamushi at first.
>>44You can’t go through Yamabuki unless you buy a drink at Tamamushi.
At that time, it felt like an incredibly vast world.
An event to buy water for the security guard at the gate…
You can skip the Iwayama Tunnel if you can get through it in the dark, as you’ll pass through Diglett’s Cave just to get Flash next to the building by Tokiwa Forest.
Looking at it this way, the unmanned power plant feels completely like a hidden element.
It was more than enough space for kids to play.
I have to go now.
Caves are long everywhere…
Playing with bugs made it feel even broader.
The secchiku is terrible no matter when you see it.
When I look at it this way, the town seems smaller compared to the city.
Just by considering the size of the characters alone, it’s already quite spacious, and in addition, each cave, gym, and house has its own map, making it quite vast.
Because there are also dungeons.
Isn’t the location of the Sekichiku gym and Pokémon Center pretty bad?
Masara Town is Palette Town.
This one is good too.
>>65It can be dyed any color.
A wretched ship wandering aimlessly in Utsumi for a year.
The Twin Islands were difficult, so I always went to Green Town by Surf from Masara.
I couldn’t find the name Glentown, but I researched and found out it’s called Cinnabar Island.
When I see the images in the thread, I really feel like playing the first game right from the beginning.
Is it just me?
The area around Masara Tokiwa seems too rural, making it difficult to buy groceries and daily necessities.
I can’t live without Pokémon that can fly in the sky.
>>71I want to believe that, although there are no mentions or depictions, there are certainly regular ferries and general stores.
>>73Just because it’s not shown, it doesn’t mean there are no toilets or baths.
Pewter City was quite simple too…
The size of the town, including the sea, is ridiculous!
It’s like an outdoor dungeon, but a considerable portion is taken up by Masaki’s house area.
In reality, when it comes to living there, the convenience of the roads is just awful…
There was a person making a diorama, right?
It was amusing to sneak past the person blocking the road with a ride jump in SV.
Also, trying to fly from the edge of the big hole at an extremely high altitude, I get shot down by the Star gang’s hideout far below.
Thumbnail crappy property layout
The road to Masaki’s house is in a terrible location.
The checkpoint for badges has been unnecessarily long from the start…
The place where water flows in Yamabuki City.
Is it really okay for a bribe to be just water to get past the roadblock, I wondered as a child?
I really dislike sharing drinks.
What’s up with that zone where they’ve placed statues like they’re just throwing them around before the league?
>>90I wonder if it will let out some air…
Palette Town was located in Odaiba.
I barely remember spending much time in town, so it doesn’t really resonate with me when I see it in town.
While progressing by battling wild trainers and wild Pokémon, the area displayed on the screen is narrow, so it takes a long time to reach the destination, making it feel quite expansive.
While playing, you progress by acquiring hidden machines, so it’s almost a straight path.
I want to go back to that time…
