[Persona] I think we can talk about the P4U series now!!?

Otaku Review Image

1: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)01:34Yeahx13

Rabelis is so cute.

2: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)01:42

Was it because the TS Duos thread for Laviris Coos was just created?

3: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)01:44

>>2Wait, I really don’t know!؟
Recently, there has been a lot of talk about 4, so I wonder if I can manage.

4: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)01:45

Is it the fighting game?

5: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)01:50

>>4That guy.
A child who was manufactured before Aigis.

6: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:16

Ariadne↑

7: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:24

She is a wonderful girl who swings a booster-equipped axe, jumps, and delivers chain-linked rocket punches.
Flying was not reflected in the game’s performance.

8: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:25Yeahx3

Yorabi is here, kuma!

16: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:48

>>8Erased with 2…

9: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:26

P4U had quite a chaotic performance from all the characters, which was fun.

10: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:28

It felt like the shadow was peaky.

11: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:28

I usually haven’t seen many people use Lavilis, but I really liked it.
I really love characters that move around while holding big weapons like that.
I only remember combo routes like 5AA > 5A > 2B.

14: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:36

>>11I mean, I’ve always been consistently weak, so…

12: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:29

Perhaps it’s because I was officially called the iron-clad sis-con boss.
By the time it was no longer quietly quoted here.

13: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:30

I’m a Yosuke user, so I don’t want to accidentally mess with my opponents… I think Shabaris should be a bit stronger.

15: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:47

I saw the scenario with Rabi-chan and cried, “Waaah!”

17: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:48

Minazuki… where are you fighting now…

18: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:52

It was quite a substantial collaboration story between P4 and P3.
I didn’t expect such a rich story element.
I guess there will be some conversation before and after the battle anyway.

21: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)03:11

>>18It’s a sort of afterword, after all.

19: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:53

Tere tte tte!

20: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)02:55

I think it’s cute and I love it, so I’m hoping to somehow get a remake.
I prefer Shadow over the original.

22: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)03:13

I practiced Chavi’s Titanocon a lot, but I got killed by the bear’s super move and gave up.

23: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)03:19

Rabilis and Minazuki are both related to the three.
There were no original characters related to 4.

24: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)03:37

I remember it was a cute and user-friendly character, but it had disappointing performance because everyone around it was crazy.
Also, the BGM for the arcade boss battle against Rabilis was really great.

25: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)03:39

It’s a character from the world of 3, but the design with the uniform from 4 was perfect for P4U.

26: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)03:47

It’s not my main character, but I love Elizabeth’s Bokosuka OMC’s lament combo; it’s beautiful.

27: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:08

Kansai dialect is subtle.

28: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:10

P4U2 really took the bad habits of Arc’s annoyingly long and beginner-unfriendly combo games to the extreme.
The elements presented as topics for beginners are making the game all complicated.

29: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:37

I thought the story in U2 was a bit weak compared to the previous game’s individual stories, and it was later revealed that the original team was almost entirely uninvolved, having only supervised the Adachi DLC scenario.
The word “bond” is overused, reminding me of Falcom’s typical expressions.

32: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:41

>>29It gives the impression of being a theatrical release that you could take or leave.

30: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:38

1 is unbalanced with 1, but even without the shadow game, I couldn’t come to like 2 a little bit.

31: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:40

I’m too focused on the timeline, and because of connecting this with the P4G afterstory and D to the main story afterwards, the schedule for the four groups is too hectic.

33: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:44

I wish a festival game with all the additional characters like Hamuko, Minazuki, RABIRISU, Zenrei, Serizawa, Sophia, and Zenkichi would come out.

34: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:45

I have the impression that there were unusually many simultaneous presses.

36: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:47

>>34Because it has 4 buttons.

35: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:47Yeahx2

Minazuki hinted at the end that “Next time that person appears, it might be as a guest…,” but it was completely overlooked, so I think they were just laying down some clues that could lead to a plot twist.

37: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:47

It seems that the spin-off doesn’t get much feedback, almost to the point of splitting the rights of new characters.

38: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:48

The U series is related to the main storyline in terms of the timeline, but the story part is not great and it hasn’t been resolved.
Although it leaves no traces on the main timeline, the story part is uniquely concluded in Q.
Although both works are a collaboration between 3 and 4, I think their directions are completely opposite.

39: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:49

…NAOTO…

42: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:53

>>39I think it’s a serious black history.
Even though it’s called parallel, it’s really never brought up unlike the Trinity Soul that is sometimes remembered.

46: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:55

>>42It was nice that the male robot who can turn into a buddy’s bike seems to have the potential to expand the world view…
Everything else…

40: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:50

Why did Ms. Elizabeth weaken her performance so thoroughly in 2 when she wasn’t that strong to begin with?

41: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:51

In P4U1, it wraps up nicely even if it’s a standalone project, as it shows each character’s subsequent story.
I think it wasn’t originally decided whether to continue or not.

43: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:54

Looking at this, it’s super convenient that five sets of characters can be casually collaborated with other games, like “I found a strange entrance while exploring Mementos!”

44: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:54

I feel like P4D is the safest option in the sense that it picked up elements from the original work (Rise’s social link) and expanded on them.
It’s ironic that I ended up choosing a genre like dance games, which seems to require a very specific selection of people, so there are hardly anyone I can talk to about it.

48: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:57

>>44It’s a rough story that rewrites the flow of the shadows from the original work, hastily compressing it into a digest version and pushing it forward, making it, in a sense, the worst in terms of quality.
In the first place, there are only a limited number of people who read it properly…

45: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:54

Was 4 being worked hard still during the Index era?

47: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:56

>>45It has been 10 years since it became a wholly-owned subsidiary.
The index completely broke in 2014, so that’s about it.

49: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:58

Yosuke’s story is really a classic boy meets girl and it’s great…

50: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)04:58

Regarding related works discussed here, it feels like PQ1 is too strong, or rather, it seems to be more frequently mentioned than discussions about numbered titles prior to 2.
It may be that people who like darker topics are more likely to gather because it’s a theme that can lead to connections over there as well.

51: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:01

At one point, the game balance was ridiculed with the absurdly terrible nickname “Persona 3: The Ultimate in Satonaka Arena.”
I feel like it probably wouldn’t make sense now.

57: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:05

>>51I think having a clear way to kill, like either dropping a meteor for a chance to win or self-enhancing to kill, is something modern fighting games need.

52: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:02

It seems like P5U has missed its peak and is likely to be tough.
To begin with, Producer Mori, who was in charge of the pipe role and the home console development, is no longer here.

55: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:04

>>52I feel like the way “misuse” is used in P4 and P5 is quite different.
This area must have gone through a time when social games had already spread sufficiently.

58: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:06

>>55Since 4 was struggling, there was no choice but to do my best, while 5 simply gained global popularity and I feel like it became in high demand.

53: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:03

Come to think of it, I haven’t really seen a thread dedicated solely to PQ2… Speaking of which, the same goes for Tactica.

56: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:04

>>53It seems that every time Q2 comes up in the Q thread, it turns into a reflection meeting…

54: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:04

I don’t think the simultaneous pressing was too far from my intuition, so even as a beginner in fighting games at the time, I was able to do it.
I think it got even more otaku than that.

59: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:10

Well, I feel very fortunate to see the interactions between Q, who interacts with those of the same generation, and U, who interacts with those older and younger, between the 3 and 4 factions.
Thanks to that, the connection between these two works feels quite deep when looking at the entire series.

60: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:14

>>59I thought they would keep crossing over 4 and 5, but it turns out that’s not the case, which was a bit of a letdown.

61: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:23

T gave up on clearing the side story for the first time.

62: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:26

It’s impressive that everyone gathers for a big event, but I feel sorry for Digital Devil Saga and 2 when they tend to be pulled out only for crossover projects that span multiple series.
The staff is completely different, so there’s nothing that can be done about it, I guess.

65: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:33

>>62Watching the remastered Ride that was launched with strong enthusiasm after 20 years…
I think it’s quite significant whether the director and the core staff from that time are still around.

63: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:31

I still don’t understand why the blue one was weakened at the beginning.

64: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:33

The “Confessions of an Abnormal Mind” is too different in terms of era and sensibility to be released as is at this time.

66: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:36

>>64If you’re going to remake it, it seems like they’ll definitely tell you to use a demon artist.

67: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:37

First, I’m busy with work.

68: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/11(Wed)05:41

Honestly, I think it’s a miracle that there was even a port of the current version of the blue one.
