[Evangelion] Talk about Evangelion just through the pachinko experience.

Otaku Review Image

I had the opportunity to listen to non-otaku older guys discussing Evangelion, and although it’s about ten years too late, a lively debate took place under the intention that the scenes used in pachinko must also be important in the original work. Their discussion, completely focused on 100% animation without considering biblical descriptions or the circumstances of the production company, was truly worth listening to. 12:44 · 2025/06/08 · 290,000 views 8 1530 6645 688

Asuka and Rei are somehow unreliable.
In the end, relying on Shinji-kun for the basics is somewhat unbalanced, isn’t it?

I wonder what Ayanami is…

I think the dummy plug is probably for autopilot.
If that’s the case, isn’t there no need to put the kids on it?

9: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:11Yeahx7

My boss, who learned about Evangelion only from Pachinko, told me the rest of the story.
Shinji-kun loses his virginity at a brothel and can no longer pilot the Eva.

12: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:15

In terms of Umimonogatari, it means that Marin-chan actually kills Sam.
Those who only know it from pachinko will be scared.

13: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:16Yeahx6

Don’t compare Shinji-kun to someone like Marin.
It’s about the size of Ulin-chan.

14: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:18

I think it must have been quite a crisis for Sahakuier.

15: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:20

Perhaps… the No. 0 unit was the mecha from the OVA…
It’s common to have those kinds of spin-offs in Gundam and similar series.

16: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:22

A discussion about Eva based purely on the visuals can never happen for otaku again…

17: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:24

The final model is cool, isn’t it?
I wonder if it’s in the final episode.

18: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:24

I only know about Symphogear from pachinko.
Sometimes, there’s a colorful army of enemies that appears.
I think the fans who came to see the Symphogear concert ended up becoming that way.

19: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:25Yeahx19

>>18You think of things grosser than the main story, huh…

34: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:33

>>19If you make the performer deal with it, they’ll break already.

24: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:29

>>18It’s different.
That being said, there are scenes where a human is turned to ash and then vacuumed up.

27: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:30

>>18Since it’s tough with Symphogear, let’s have them do it with Princession Orchestra.

20: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:25

Speaking of which, I wonder why the current pachinko machines are all about anime.

21: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:26

>>20Making materials is super easy, looks great, and is flashy.

30: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:31

>>20Because there is a base of the original visuals, creating the direction is relatively easier.

Could it be that the Silver Witch from Madoka Magica is relatively easily defeated in the main story?

35: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:33

>>22Since she was briefly defeated and appeared in only a few cuts during a flashback, her recognition as a witch is fairly low.

23: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:28Yeahx1

What is it?

25: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:30

>>23It’s not even on Eva.

26: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:30

The iconic scene where Kira and Aslan stop a meteor falling on a certain company in Shinjuku is great, right?

29: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:31

There is a strong theory that only the “slokas of the baji-risk” are perfectly understood without any misunderstanding.

83: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:50

>>29Mutual destruction is a story about an old man and an old woman… it’s not primarily about the spider and the male opponent.

87: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:51

>>83I… didn’t know that…

31: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:32

Pachinko users don’t care about the original license, and there are people who read the original work once they hit on the machine, so it’s a win-win situation.

33: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:32

>>31I feel like some kind of distorted character game addict.

32: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:32

I want to show Eureka to people who only know it from the pachislot and hear their impressions.

36: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:33

I’m seriously interested in things like Fafner.

37: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:34

The silver witch can fight in the game she’s playing now.
I was honestly thinking, “Who was that…?”

38: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:35

Hidan-chan is cute and I like everyone.
I don’t know the original work.

39: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:36

What kind of impression will you have if you start watching Evangelion with only knowledge of pachinko?

40: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:36

What will happen to the unicorn?

44: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:37

>>40Huh? That sound doesn’t appear in the main story!?
I think it’s something that flows when the vibe is really good…

41: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:36

About 80% of Madoka Magica fans don’t know about the silver witch.

43: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:37

>>41You might just barely know it if you’re a Magia Record user.

42: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:37

It seems like I could understand Kaiji and Ten since they simply follow the original work.

45: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:38

Pachinko threads always seem to be filled with complaints about manufacturers and such, but they’re not recognized as sticky or bashing threads, right?
It’s a strange value system.

54: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:41

>>45Everyone has spent enough money to be able to complain.

64: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:44

>>54I wonder if it feels like complaining about a terrible boss in a game.

46: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:38

The background of Rey is somehow really erotic.

47: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:39

Kaworu is the kind of ally who throws a spear to deliver the finishing blow to the enemy in a pinch, right?

48: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:39

Symphogear seems interesting because Finé’s true identity is blurred in the pachislot.

49: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:39

Is it possible that the slot machine “Basilisk” perfectly captures the entire story from beginning to end…?

56: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:43

>>49The depiction of the ridiculously uncool Zenzen is somewhat concealed.

50: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:39

The witch of oblivion appears in Madoka Magica 2, but…
Although the game that was released on PSP is the first, the specific setting is only discussed in the slot machine.
Probably not well known even to the fans.

51: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:40

Where does the Gathering Garden flow? Is it a movie?

52: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:41Yeahx1

>>51Pachinko

53: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:41

It’s a story from DanMachi 2, where the fox sister says, “To think a prostitute like me would be saved by a hero…”
There’s a scene where Bell-kun confidently declares, “A hero won’t abandon anyone!!”
It seems that the fox sister has a bit of a virgin vibe, but if that’s the case, doesn’t that make Bell-kun’s bravado seem kind of uncool?
We need to talk about how even a genuinely serious prostitute can be saved.

60: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:44Yeahx4

>>53Maybe the main series fans aren’t watching it with that serious of a mindset…!!

75: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:48

>>60The other day I watched the anime itself, and I thought this! I’m not really a fan, though.

55: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:43

The order of strength is Harlequin > Brighella > Capitano > Diamantina, right?

57: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:43

What is a demon world dragon…?

58: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:43

The blue-haired character is trash.

59: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:43

The first Ring of Rings (space) is nice, isn’t it?

61: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:44

I thought the final unit and the unnumbered unit were original to Pachio.

62: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:44

If you only play Goji Eva, it becomes a yuri anime.

63: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:44

Has there ever been a case where Gennosuke was poisoned or something to the point that he couldn’t use his eye technique until the end?

65: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:44

If the level of reproduction of the original work is high, there might be cases where some people end up watching the footage longer than the original fans.

66: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:46

It seems that the pachinko fans can talk more about “Hidan no Aria” than the anime fans.

67: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:46

How many seasons did the anime “Hidan no Aria” have?

72: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:47

>>671

68: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:46

The pachinko world itself is terrible, and the users are aware that they are terrible as well, so it doesn’t fall under moral criticism or harassment.

69: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:46

I was astonished to hear old men saying that Valvrave was the most interesting thing these days, but upon listening closely, it turned out they were talking about slot machines.

70: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:46

Biollante has become even more vicious than before.

71: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:47

I don’t play Eva pachinko much, so I don’t know, but the other day, after Kaji-san spoke in gold letters, it went straight into the rush.

73: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:47

Sometimes there are things that make me think they might know more than I do about the main anime, even though I’ve watched it more than the pachinko and slot machine crowd.

81: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:49

>>73The people playing slots know the birthday of Aoshima from Monkey Turn.

92: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:53

>>73Since the main story doesn’t have enough material, there are probably some that also pick up on minor derivative works’ ideas…

74: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:48

I can brush off just about any harsh complaint.
I tend to get pretty angry when I’m lied to.

76: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:48

People who only know about Basilisk from the slot machine.
If I’m not careful, I might even remember the order in which everyone dies.

77: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:48

If I told the pachinko crowd that the anime ends with a wolf as the final boss, I think they would be very surprised.

78: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:49Yeahx4

I personally think it’s strange behavior to support or defend the operation of the game.

90: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:52Yeahx1

>>78It’s like a customer who comes in saying, “The customer is always right.”

79: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:49

Regarding DanMachi, it is balanced by the fact that a truly terrible woman is saved later in the original work.

82: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:50

I was thinking the production was long! But then Godzilla suddenly appeared, and I couldn’t handle it.

84: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:51

It’s great when characters who don’t know the original story and don’t know each other have an intense battle in a thrilling reach…

85: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:51

If someone was too absorbed and really read through the timestamps of the memories, they could probably recite most of the plot of Basilisk.

88: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:52

Super confession time is what Chris-chan often does as a finishing blow!

89: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:52

I wish they would make more mysterious promotional anime like Sky Girls.

91: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:52

The basilisk probably understands most things, but it’s misunderstanding only where there is no chance for misunderstanding.

93: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:53

In Re:Zero, it seems that when you awaken in a time loop due to returning from death, there’s a sound like “bokyun.”

94: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:53

I like Pachislot original copyrights, but they don’t have much recognition, do they?
“Umimonogatari stands out, along with Sengoku Otome and Twin Angel.”

95: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:53

That fox girl from DanMachi was a prostitute… I liked her, damn it!

98: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:54Yeahx1

>>95If you’re playing slots, you should understand that I was in a brothel!!
It might not be the case for pachinko…

96: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:53

Gundam SEED is an anime about two friends breaking asteroids, right?

107: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:56

>>96Unfortunately, it doesn’t match at all.

97: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:53

Are there quite a few original characters or scenes that only appear in pachislot?
Or is it basically just things selected from the original work?

103: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:55Yeahx1

>>97The basis is a choice from the original work, and there are quite a few original scenes as well.
I think original characters are quite rare.

99: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:54

The Pachinko-only Symphogear feels somewhat like it’s in a showdown.

100: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:54Yeahx2

Gendo is actually an X alien…

I think it would be good to reanimate Monkey Turn.

111: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:56

>>104The regulations for things like PERA are too different from now, so what should we do…

119: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:57

>>104Slot machines are still popular, and boat racing is also popular now.
I lost in the setting determination on Monkey Turn today, damn it.

120: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:57

>>104I’m in trouble, reality in boat racing isn’t about making your own propellers or anything like that.

108: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:56

Code Geass has instances where it’s hard to tell allies from enemies, and just when you think they lost, they actually won (for example, when Todou defeated Suzaku).

109: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:56

Re-anime “Umi Monogatari” too.

112: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:56

(Isn’t there a rival character… dumbbell!)

114: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:57

Rem, Ram, Sam

118: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:57

“Dumbbells How Much Can You Lift?” had some unfamiliar characters appear in the CZ…

129: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:58

>>118It’s safe because it was imported back from the original work?

122: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:57

Conversely, Zegapain was adapted into an anime as a sequel to the pachislot.
Anime fans were surprised by the developments that happened in pachislot a few years ago.

123: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:57

Monkey Turn has added a presentation of the original ending that was not done in the anime in the second installment.

124: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:58

Aria only knows about pachinko and slots, but will Hidan-chan start using the Spirit Ball?

126: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:58

Lelouch is stronger than Suzaku, right?

134: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:59

>>126It’s about the same.

127: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:58

After playing Granbelm’s slot machine and then watching the anime, it felt like the daily life scenes were almost fabricated.

128: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:58

I think Garou is traced quite accurately.
I’ve never seen it before.

184: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

>>128It seems like there are scenes in the beginning and end that would be appreciated for use in pachinko performances, and since there are sponsors attached from the sequel, it seems like they made it with that in mind from the start.
I’ve never been hit, but…

130: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:59

Aquarion is probably some kind of lewd anime.

131: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:59

The other day at the boat racing venue, they were playing the BGM from Monkey Turn during the SG Rush, and I got excited.

132: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:59

(For some reason, it has been animated beyond the range that was covered in the anime, and there are also voices added.)

133: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:59

It’s amusing that I remember Tenjō Sōya’s full name so well.

141: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:01

>>133Because you introduce yourself with your full name…

143: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:01

>>133Every time the AT ends, that guy usually introduces himself…

135: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)22:59

I only know about the old Eva, so I don’t really understand the new Eva’s machine…

136: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:00

I was surprised that Uma Musume is almost confirmed at Kyoraku.

137: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:00

When it’s just the slot, Todo looks like a weakling.

138: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:00

Typical pachinko players only recognize which ones are strong and which ones are weak.

150: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:02

>>138(Is this child in the Jaggi slot…) (Is this child about as strong as Shin…)

139: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:00

Umineko just looks like a work that only has magical attacks.

146: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:01

>>139The red heat and blue chance game mechanics of the slot do not fit at all with the red and blue text system.

140: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:01

Even though I’ve never seen it, I can perfectly sing the theme song.
I think there is.

142: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:01

“Nyan Koi! The Cat Wars is full of parodies, which makes its reproduction of the original quite high.”

>>142Kaoru-kun is… super strong, right…!?

144: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:01

I dislike red Rem because he often misses.

145: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:01

In terms of pachinko performances, I thought I had escaped from Sadako in the Ring and won, but then it turned out I had lost, and I remembered that it was a machine featuring Sadako as the main character.

I thought that in Madoka Magica, due to the Magical Challenge, Madoka would have to respond many times.

I love Kemono Friends, so I was satisfied just buying it on the app and watching the performances.
It seems that there are some that don’t have much of a story.

161: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:03

The cute Sadako just sitting cross-legged in a rush is a Sadako I don’t know.

168: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:04

>>161What is this Sadako Birth Festival?

162: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:03

I only have the impression that blue-themed characters are weak in the context of slokas.

190: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:07

>>162Don’t act like you know everything! That person is strong, but they’re the one assigned to blue…

164: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:03

I don’t know much about pachinko, but I do know that everyone is happy when the Sam character appears in the Sea Story.

165: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:04

The Demon Lord Narumi must be an important scene in the original work!

166: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:04

This is my Imagine Breaker! → I didn’t say that.
The strongest in the world! → I didn’t say that.
Sharp~ → I didn’t say that.
From here on is one way! → I’m saying it.

>>166I laugh, feeling a sense of relaxation.

180: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

>>166I like this, it seems silly.

167: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:04

I was surprised to learn that there is no original work after wanting to watch the anime of Double Riding because I like the stage.

170: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:04

I feel like Re:Zero is designed in such a way that you can’t understand the story just from the pachinko visuals.

181: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

>>170This Garフィール guy is a bad one!
Why is it a win if this guy beats Elsa…?

171: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:04

Oh right, when you finish eating the blue demon, it’s an AT, isn’t it…?

172: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:04

The shrimp is strong.
Geckos are strong too.
Ayato is somewhat.
Amon is weak.

173: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:05

Dad… Mom… I’m going to do it!!!

174: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:05

It was amazing that they brought the actual “letter” all the way from the social game in Symphogear.

175: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:05

It seems like there’s an experience of finding out a good song was an original pachinko song after looking it up.

182: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

>>175The songs from Evangelion sung by Megumi Hayashibara are mostly pachinko songs.

187: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

>>175The original song from the KonoSuba slot machine was that one.
I thought it was just a regular song from the second season since it plays after the first season.

189: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:07

>>175The mere creation of the Garden of Gathering holds value.

191: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:07

>>175This happened in Hell Girl.

194: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:07

>>175It’s a sleeping instinct.

176: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:05

I remember wondering why the Higurashi naginata’s glasses didn’t appear in the original work.

183: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

>>176Miyabi with a naginata is the strongest in the world.
And Kokonogi is the strongest in the universe.

178: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:05

When I touched Sadako’s palm while feeling bored, it was surprisingly squishy and soft, and… it’s a bit vulgar, but hehe…

188: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

>>178Sadako is originally set as a beautiful woman, so it follows the original work.

185: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

Isn’t it weird that Ayato-kun was the second strongest after Shachi during the first season of Ghoul?

186: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:06

You’re just making fun of me, aren’t you…?

192: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:07

Why am I being kicked by Roswaal…?

193: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:07

Is Lupin the Fire an original too?

195: Japan Otaku Reviews25/06/08(Sun)23:07

In my mind, the ring is something like a researcher or a psycho who has chosen (or kidnapped?) a victim as a sacrifice and drops them from a high place into the depths (a well?). If there was some kind of suitability for the dropped sacrifice, it would be a cult anime celebrating the revival of Sadako-chan in a kawaii birth festival.
