This weekend, my friend and I talked about watching some anime, and now the remaining options are…
Fafner OVA and Season 2
Macross Delta up to episode 11 and two theatrical versions.
Shin Eva All
Build Fighters
Build Divers
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Reconguista in G – 5 Movies
Cross Ange
So, which one is interesting?
I’ve never seen any of them, but my friend says they’re all interesting.
No, this line is this, right?
It’s more of a women’s prison anime than a robot anime…
Re-rise from
Grave of the Fireflies
Shin Eva is the only one.
I love robot anime so much…
I think it’s better to watch something bright with friends, so I recommend build-type shows.
Let’s watch Fafner alone.
>>4Sorry, I meant to say Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition.
I was recommended by a friend to watch Fafner, including the first season and the movie, but to be honest, I didn’t really understand it, so if I’m going to watch it, I would like to have someone explain it to me while watching.
>>8People like to teach unknown individuals, so isn’t Fafner good?
G-Reco is interesting, but five episodes is definitely too much!
Talk to your friends…
Watching G-Reco in one go really makes your head smell like smoke.
If you’re watching the old Eva, then the new Eva is a must, but if it’s different, it’s better to stop.
You’ve never even seen Evangelion?
Why do I have a friend who’s just my type of old man?
>>12The first mecha anime I ever watched was Witch from Mercury.
After that, I watched SEED, 00, Code Geass, Fafner Season 1, and Gika Axis.
If I can mention my hobbies, I said Majepuri, Bravely Default, Ideon, Fullmetal Panic, Macross 7, Bokurano, and AKIRA.
>>19I see, the era is flying by rapidly.
>>19I’m going to make a commentary at the beginning of Mobile Suit Gundam.
If you’re going to watch Fafner, it’s a test of stamina, but could that OVA be RoL?
Macross 7 All Episodes
If it’s Build or G-Reco, I won’t involve my friends.
The rest should be watched all at once by yourself; it will hit you hard in your head and heart.
Watching all of the Evangelion Rebuild movies is quite a challenge…
The new Evangelion movie is still good in terms of the prologue and climax.
Q…?
Shin na…
Are you going to watch it all at once?
It’s more about the length of time.
Recommended: Gurren Lagann
Watch Argento Soma, Scryed, and Gun Sword.
>>23I want to include Infinite Ryvius too…
>>46I love it, but if you’re going to watch it, I want you to do it twice.
The fun starts from the second week.
>>47I understand.
If you like 2 cour, then watch Big O.
If I had to choose from this, it would probably be five of G-Reco.
If you have a friend who has seen it, they could explain it and make it easier to understand.
It’s a bit heavy overall.
Build Fighters or Aim for the Top!
I don’t think it will resonate that much unless Eva was really into the old works when she was young.
>>27It’s only because I’ve been watching the TV series that I feel this way.
>>27It seems like something that young kids might think is clichéd and old-fashioned.
Characters like Ayanami aren’t that rare, are they?
It’s a safe choice for a robot anime, but if robot anime doesn’t work, I feel like nothing will be tough…
Where does Delta Episode 11 go up to?
Among them, personally, I like Build Fighters the most.
If I don’t know anything about Evangelion, I’m scared about how to evaluate Q and Shin, at least until the end of the second Rebuild.
Well then, this Dougarm…
Akira is great!
Build Fighters is really enjoyable to watch clearly.
It’s so refreshing that it doesn’t linger much.
Everything has its own level of interestingness, but I feel it’s questionable whether it’s entertaining if you just suddenly start watching it.
Let’s go with Earth Defense Enterprise Daigard.
The director is with 00.
It seems like pretty much anything would be fine in terms of viewing history and lineup.
All of them are works that are said to be interesting, whether or not you get hooked on them is another matter.
Gundam Sword seems to fit perfectly under these conditions.
Is your friend the same sex as you?
After one or two laps, Asuka Langley Soryu has become a rare character!
>>42This is super interesting.
“Let’s fight it out like in Scryed.”
Watch Gun Sword.
The next day, if I have some energy left, I’ll go to Kanata’s Astra.
I think it would be fine to go with Eva if I’m with a friend.
A friend said it was interesting even though they hadn’t seen the old ones… but I also feel like they were saying that around the time of the beginning or the breaking.
If you’re an otaku, I prefer something that’s more about discussing and arguing than just having fun.
If I’m watching with a friend, it’s Cross Ange.
By the way, I like big breasts, so it’s fine if it features big breasts this time.
>>53Big breasts, huh! It feels like big breast characters are a staple in robot anime!
>>53In that case, watch Majepuri along with your friend’s hobby.
I want to say, “Are you crazy?” because those big breasts are coming out!
If you can watch it all at once now, then maybe Eva isn’t that much of a problem.
>>54Rather, without buildup, there are fewer things that resonate with Shin Eva…
>>54I think it’s fine to binge-watch together as newcomers.
It seems like there will be quite a difference in enthusiasm between the long-time fans on one side and the newcomers on the other.
In other words, it really happened like that at the time of the release.
>>72I’ve experienced temperature differences too, but it really becomes something amazing when you have people who like to think deeply and those who don’t…
“Look at the big breasts personally.”
You want to see big breasts?
“Just watch Godanner or Gravion.”
Will big breasts appear in a robot anime…?
Ah, Majepuri’s big breasts…
It will also feature slender ones.
I kind of figured out why you chose SEED, you perverted guy.
I’m honestly envious of friends who say, “Let’s check out this lineup together…”
I wondered if there was anything like big breasts and robots, but there is “Expelled from Paradise.”
>>64Speaking of which, a sequel is being released, so it’s just the right time to watch it, plus there are big breasts and big butts, and you can also enjoy robots, so it seems pretty well-rounded.
The Patlabor movie is really great!
>>65Ah, no, no, at first, Gekipato is going to get hooked on Oshii’s films, not Patlabor, from the early days.
Cross Ange would be quite exciting to watch with someone.
It might be better to watch alone.
Watch one episode of Eva or G-Reco, discuss it, then watch another episode and discuss it again.
Let’s do it this way.
I wonder if Build Divers includes Re:Rise as well.
That is preferable.
Only the veterans from the 90s get purified by watching Shin, right…?
If I’m watching with friends, then I’m definitely talking about Build Fighters.
Do you remember Aim for the Top! and Love? Experience the strongest analog animation!
>>73You can enjoy the animation set ten years later in the movie version of Escaflowne and Macross Plus.
Fafner is recommendable, but if you watch it, do so all the way to the end in one go.
>>74There are nearly 4 cours of content just since RoL and EXO!
It is often said that any Macross is fine just as a basic movie.
Due to time constraints, the character development will be very shallow.
Watching the TV version up to a certain point is actually quite acceptable.
I once binge-watched Cross Ange with a few friends.
Emburio is amazing and we got really excited.
Macross Plus! Macross Plus!
I’m going to make a movie this time.
Ken Koike’s Lupin
Including Sayoko Yamamoto as Fujiko Mine.
If it’s Macross, then Macross Plus… and also, it’s not a robot, but Cowboy Bebop…
Cross Ange is interesting!
Even if I divide it into two days, it’s all too long…
>>84If it’s Eva, then it’s Death and Rebirth.
I have a feeling that Q and Shin can be nicely divided into two days.
Isn’t Cross Ange a rare delicacy? Is it okay for someone with little experience in robot anime to watch it?
>>85There are many weird hooks, so people of all ages can enjoy it!
>>96It’s just that the dirty parts can be polarizing in taste!
To be blunt, the second season of Fafner has a bad cut, so if you’re going to rush through it, make sure to get to BEYOND.
I think it’s fine to just let it be with HEAVEN AND EARTH.
How old are you and your friend?
>>88The Build Series is recommended, but it’s said that it becomes even more interesting if you watch various Gundam series beforehand, so it’s good to watch it twice.
They said it would work because it’s a FREEDOM element of SEED FREEDOM.
27
Build Fighters is recommended as it’s often touted as the greatest masterpiece of the Build series, capturing the spirit of a heated battle anime.
Build Divers may be less flashy compared to other entries in the Build series, but the charm comes from the straightforward and good-natured protagonist and the fact that all the allies around him are also good people, so I recommend this one too.
Let’s just watch all of Eva from the beginning.
It’s nice that Macross Delta is packed into two movies.
Mercury is making its debut as a robot, and if things go poorly, it could be in its early 20s?
If you’re watching with friends, it’s definitely Braveheart.
It’s amazing that you’ve never watched Eva.
Is it already that time?
That aside, Fafner Season 2.
If you’re watching now, “Space Encounter” is great!
I remember binge-watching four seasons of anime over the weekend during my student days, so I think I can do it.
Scryed is probably a robot anime.
>>99It’s about the Hyper Pinch Crusher!
Legend of the Galactic Heroes is also doable.
>>100It’s ridiculous to think I could watch nearly 150 episodes in one weekend!
>>104Even if I split it over a few weeks, it’s too long, so it would be better to look at each part individually…
It’s definitely interesting, but…
If you’ve seen Z Gundam, then the Gundam theatrical trilogy is fine too, right?
Before watching Macross Delta, let’s watch AKB0048.
Seeing “A Silent Voice” leaves me with an indescribable feeling.
I will cry uncontrollably.
How about Mega Man USA on Amazon Prime?
If you want to see Fafner and Majestic Prince on SEED.
Look at the silver Orinssis, Heroic Age, and Linebarrels.
What anime do you like, Anonymous?
If you’re watching Zeg-Axis, it might be okay to skip the original and Z and just watch Char’s Counterattack for now.
I feel like it’s something that could come up as a topic or simply that it’s one of the top-class entertaining ones in Gundam.
