Mystic Knight Saga
SaGa 2 (DS version)
Minsaga
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven
Romancing SaGa 3 (Remaster)
SaGa Frontier (Remastered)
SaGa Frontier 2 (Remaster)
There are many remakes and remasters, but as I play them, I realize how the systems from past games have gradually evolved into this system, which is interesting.
I’m currently playing the DS version of Saga 3 that I bought.
You did well… just like Dr. Saga.
What about Ansaga?
If you’ve come this far, you’re going to play Saga Scarlet, right?
>>3Of course
Emi is also full of motivation.
I guess I need to secure the actual device first…
Let’s play Emecaga, Unsaga, and Sagasca!
Only SaGa 3 has a system that is too different.
Well, it’s an ordinary RPG, so I guess there’s no need to force myself to play the GB version…
>>7Regarding SaGa 3, I’m thinking of playing the GB version a little later.
I’ve heard that it’s not a game with a very high level of difficulty.
Instead of writing something like this, send it to Square Enix or write it on social media.
The people who make it will be happy.
>>8Sometimes Kawazu God retweets, so it’s scary.
>>8Speaking of which, I got a like from a staff member when I was writing my thoughts on Eme.
I was happy that my rough impression seemed to have reached you.
>>231Reuni is the same…
Somehow, the staff of Saga really listens to user feedback in a way that other companies can’t even think of…
On one hand, I’m grateful, but on the other hand, I definitely think it’s a difficult task.
Already, it’s more Dr. Saga than me.
I can’t compete…
>>9You will become Dr. Saga too!
>>9The more I look at the Saga community, the more I see there are many crazy people…
I did a lot, but I can never claim to be a doctor…
If there are any techniques or characters you liked from what you’ve done so far, I want to hear about them!
>>11I’m terribly troubled…
I really love the multi-hit slash that comes after the standby sound of the robot in Saga Frontier, that “Gyakiin!”
The character is a modern kid, so they are a ninja from Rise of the Samurai.
>>23It’s nice that in SaGa Frontier, the sound effect changes depending on the weapons or skills you choose.
Ninjas are strong and cute, so I understand…
Since Luminaria is almost like Saga, please keep it as a candidate.
Yahhh! A newcomer has arrived!
…From today, you are the senpai!
The sense of culmination in Minstrel Song is great, isn’t it?
I also liked the traditional remake of Saga 2.
Do Saga Scar and Saga Emerald.
Saga 3 is interesting because it feels like what a sequel to Saga would look like if you think about it from the point of Saga 2.
I don’t really remember struggling much while fighting in GB Saga 3… maybe it was because healing and everything were easy.
>>19The small fry aren’t much of a threat, but all the bosses are tough.
If Anseraga gets an operation guide and a speed-up feature, it could change quite a bit.
I can’t say you should play the old version as well.
What we’re about to do is tough, isn’t it?
>>21I remember struggling when I tried the old version…
I’m grateful for the remaster…
It’s nice that the specifications are completely different for each title when there’s collaboration.
There are many lunatics, so I feel like I need to understand mask data and master random numbers, maybe even to the level of a PhD.
Once I finish the SaGa series, the next will be inspired works.
>>26I want you to tell me because my body is starting to crave Saga.
>>27As mentioned above, it’s Rasurem.
It’s like a work directly inspired by my master, and if anything, Kawazu is also involved.
>>31Is that the one that Takai is directing?
It often appears in videos related to Saga.
I only knew about it around the age of 14, but it’s extremely old school, isn’t it?
>>27I love AnSaga so much that I ended up creating a Vampire Survivor!
Saga is different from the series itself and even from the numbering, so it ends up being different from what I expected! But it was interesting in its own way.
The world-building and story are pleasantly good.
I believe that the sense of balance of the Kawazu deity is unique.
You should definitely play it… Kyon’s Alliance Alive!
I haven’t played Legend of Legacy, so I’ll leave it to more knowledgeable individuals.
I played Last Remnant Remastered, but be careful because the mask data and irreversible elements are quite harsh!
SaGa Frontier 1 has satisfying sound effects with command selection, combos, and techniques, it’s just refreshing…
The connection in the DS version 2 has a refreshing feel with the sound and button response.
Legend of Legacy involves Kyon, but the elements are overly complicated and bad habits are showing.
I don’t dislike it, but it’s not good.
The Holy Sword LoM is another SaGa Frontier 2, you know…
I would like you to play Wild Card before Anserga, though…
It seems that there won’t be any Saga-related content for a while, so I might try playing Alliance Alive…
It was a personal narrative thread, but I would be happy if everyone could share their Saga talks.
I want to talk about the saga.
It’s okay if it’s similar works too.
I went to the Saga Okè last week, but since I only played Saga 123 and Saga Frontier, about half of the songs were unfamiliar to me.
>>42The SaGa Frontier 2 remaster is really something good.
Looking at the series as a whole, the latest installment is incredibly friendly in terms of gameplay, or rather, very accommodating.
It’s truly impressive to see how much can be done if you thoroughly focus on tapping into new demographics…
>>44I’m quite surprised that SaGa 3 DS is quite generous in some ways.
Saga 2 has teamed up, right? They’re going to strengthen the boss! Something like that, which makes it even more exciting.
>>47The growth during battle was revolutionary.
Emi is great — at least I found it interesting!
Isn’t the battle time too long, or is the level-up for trading too slow? There are various things, but it’s interesting!
I’ve only played Romancing SaGa 2 Remastered and SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered…
Saga talk, huh… The first time I got hooked on Saga was with Romancing Saga 1 for the Super Famicom.
I was surprised by how the dialogue choices were outlandish because I played after Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.
The free scenario system was shocking.
Sagasca and Sagaeme are good.
The Alliance Alive is something that will eventually become anonymous after playing through many series like Thread Anonymous.
I was impressed when I decided to try an RPG other than SaGa and ended up playing SaGa.
Rebirth Saga, which made Romancing SaGa 2 so much easier to play, can be proud of itself.
But when I play other series, I sometimes feel that they are a bit bland.
>>51Sometimes I get really frustrated and think, “Why did it have to be like this! God!” but once it’s over, I want to eat it again… it’s like a rich ramen.
>>51Conversely, I thought that if you focus on making it easy to play, there are aspects where it’s acceptable to be somewhat more simplistic.
In the case of Libesaga, the design philosophy was consistent, which is even more so.
If you’ve gone that far, you should also check out the archives of Imperia Saga.
>>52If you love festival games that span across series, you will probably enjoy that scenario.
As the origin of Saga, there is FF2, but…
Did you play FF2?
>>53I used to play the GBA version long ago.
In the end, it was blinking, blinking, blinking, blinking.
Minstrel Saga was also trying hard to explain things with the rebel army and poets, right?
Thanks to that, it seems to have sold quite well through word of mouth at the time.
This thread is timely for me, as I was just playing the SaGa series.
I completely cleared Saga Frontier 2 in the remaster, but I want to take revenge on Unsaga too…
Let’s play FF12.
>>58It’s nice to have a Final Fantasy V-like enjoyment in TZA.
Saga 3 is a work of ambition that is unconventional as a Saga title but orthodox as an RPG.
>>60There are those who say things like orthodox or normal, but…
Picking up screws and meat and undergoing physical changes is not normal.
>>95It’s not normal to go back to the restroom…
I haven’t played in a while since I disposed of the actual machine, but I often listen to the CD of Anseraga.
Among all the works in the series, this one has the most atmospheric BGM and is my favorite.
Right now, all the new version, remake version, and remastered version have just been completed, so it will take some time.
The remaster of Unsaga is also planned, so I hope you’ll wait by playing Saga Eme and Saga Scarlet until then.
>>62God is really struggling with how to improve things…
I like Itoken, but I also like Hamauzu, so I want another Hamauzu soundtrack saga.
An Saga has a great world and music, but the game system has its issues, making it difficult to progress.
…Hamaguchi-san was in charge of the music for games like that back then…
It’s amazing that there was a regular RPG on the original Game Boy, but I also feel that it’s because “Makai Toshi” is an RPG that isn’t ordinary that it sold a million copies.
>>69It’s true that there was an incredible impact at the time that they were able to do RPGs on handheld devices, even though they mention things like Pokémon and Mother.
FF2, you guys are a rampant army! I somehow feel the blood of SaGa in this.
It’s already stronger! You can beat the captain and go to Midgard from the beginning too!
>>70The proficiency system continues to yield results consistently afterward.
Saga 2 has become “Show me your proficiency!”
I had a really great time, but it’s hard to recommend this feeling to others.
>>71TIPS is thorough, but there are parts that are difficult to understand intuitively, like the guards, and the sluggish UI and hassle of trading…
If this part can be fixed, the elements are too difficult; the combat is really fun though.
I was impressed by the thoroughness of the explanation of Rebe Saga after Eme.
>>71I wish they would update just the trade feature at least, so it’s easier to recommend to people…
Alternatively, a new work that has been improved in various ways…
>>71I get it, I had a lot of fun too, but isn’t this a bit too much of a strong style for this era!?
The battles are interesting, but each one is a bit long.
It’s just that when you fully leverage the good aspects of a free scenario and play without looking at strategy information, even in the same world, there are various branching paths that make it enjoyable.
The combat feels really good when managing the timeline and coordinating with reserves and follow-ups, and even when you’re alone in the spotlight, there’s plenty of that reversal and essence of Saga packed in.
In Rebisaga, they make you aware that “the collaboration in this game is a system for allies,” and then they hit you with that last thing at the end.
That’s what really hit me.
In Romancing SaGa and SaGa 3, the evolution and inspiration became differentiated because of eating meat.
I want a new dish made with meat.
Those who enjoyed the additional scenario of SaGa Frontier 2 would also find it easy to recommend the scenario of Insaga.
It’s the same red pine.
Eme was a monster, but essentially a demon, so I want to eat meat again.
Please let Ribe come out before Eme finishes playing since I’m going to play slowly.
Before finishing the game, go out to the second floor.
I still haven’t been able to return to Eme.
I love the inefficiency of the demon realm tower warrior, but I keep hunting weak monsters to super strengthen my character early on.
The SaGa Frontier 2 remaster is more like a complete edition than just a remaster.
Unlike Suka, they say they don’t have ambitions, but you can’t help wanting the optimized version of Eme.
When I got off at Saga Station during my trip, this was playing, and I laughed.
I knew about the speed based on the appropriate position of weapons in SaGa Frontier 2, but I got really frustrated that they masked even this level of data in the distance display.
>>86I learned that understanding the differences in distance and action speed between Grass Vow and Flame Dragon makes combat significantly easier.
Do Racing Lagoon too!
>>87…No joke…
To be honest, it’s really hard to do!
>>87Nobuo has come…
By focusing on a quick attack with the firepower formation, Sagaeme can quickly finish off the minor battles.
The roll will stop expanding.
I think it’s great that both Rise of the Beasts and the Flo2 Remaster have been adjusted to be more user-friendly.
Sagaeme struggled to obtain dual swords, dual pistols, and bayonets, but it was sad that they weren’t that strong.
>>93Since the dual-wielding Arashigiri-kun is strong… isn’t it fine to use Setsugekka with Night-Blooming Cereus and Rouge Trap to reach BP5?
Well, yes.
>>93In other words, conversely, the conditions for obtaining the roll are completely unclear to someone seeing it for the first time.
It’s better if the difficult roles are not too strong for balance, you know…
I love Sagaeme the most.
>>94Just between us, the trial version felt lacking, so I bought it thinking of it as a donation.
Before I knew it, my playtime kept increasing.
Final Fantasy II is basically Saga.
The wildcard is almost Saga.
I cleared SaGa Frontier 2 Remaster yesterday, but I ended up crying my eyes out at the additional scenario.
>>97The person who voiced Wagner was also crying…
Wow… that makes you cry… amazing…
>>97It’s nice, isn’t it, to have pirate-like people who help with burials?
The Saga series has become much more user-friendly since Minstrel Song.
>>99The first thing I did from the Romancing SaGa trial version was Minstrel Song, but the first playthrough was tough!
I was hunting Gold Dragons in the Gold Mine to gear up.
>>113Even so, the narration and the volunteer army explain things fairly well, so compared to before, it’s become quite a bit more user-friendly.
>>123Before the remake, I heard that there was no such clock and I thought, “That’s really typical of Saga.” I wouldn’t understand why, but if I had played it when I was a kid, I would have missed out on a lot of events and probably ended up fighting Saruin.
FFCC is also Saga…?
Is this also the nature of humans?
Since it’s a collaborative game, high-cost skills aren’t that strong.
In Saga Scarlet, because there’s cost reduction from ranking up and a combo attack bonus, you can unleash strong techniques repeatedly and finish things off quickly.
>>103The high-cost techniques of two-handed weapons shine in their own arena.
>>116In my first encounter with Konki-kun, I was tremendously supported by Musashi-kun’s solo performance, Daoki Dan.
I seriously don’t know Saga who chopped down such a big tree this much.
It’s a tradition in Saga for everyone to talk during the final boss battle, and it’s nice that they’re doing it in Emesa Saga too.
Since FFUSA also feels like SaGa 3, it’s pretty much fine to call it SaGa.
>>104Saga 3 doesn’t feel like a Saga, so it’s different.
>>106Even though Saga, Saga 3, Romancing Saga, Romancing Saga 2, Saga Frontier 2, and Unlimited Saga are all completely different, what is this Saga-like quality?
>>117It’s a bit of a harsh line.
>>119Right now, you are the ugliest!
>>117Isn’t it the Kawazu component?
>>121What I often see are people trapped in Romancing SaGa 1 to 3.
Let’s play Saga Scarlet and Saga Emerald too!
>>139This Kawazu raw liquid is incredible!
>>139I like these two the most, but I can’t recommend them to others…
>>117God says there’s no such thing as a Saga-like quality.
I think the uniqueness of the text created by the gods, the new system, and the game balance embodies that “Saga” feeling.
The laws of Saga are breaking down!
Sagagaga
A little while ago, there was a video released featuring Kawazu and Benimatsu in an interview about the SaGa Frontier 2 remaster, but Benimatsu mostly talks quickly, which makes me laugh.
I wanted to fight with other members in SaGa Frontier 2’s Unknown Egg, but…
When I asked the producer at Sagaoke, they said to stop doing that because it would lead to anything being allowed.
I see.
I wonder how many more works Kawazu can produce.
>>114It seems there will be no works for a while, so it’s a waiting period.
I really love the combo system in Saga Frontier.
I’m grateful that there is a collection of the three GB Saga games.
I wish remakes could be done more easily.
>>120Wipe your tears.
>>120It seems that there are regular discussions about a DS version being ported, so I think it’s just a matter of the company giving the go-ahead.
>>127I would be quite happy if Saga 2 didn’t require constantly changing the proficiency display and map abilities.
What do you want!
I love that in the first work, the creator god toys with humans, and they have maintained that stance all the way up to now!
>>126The god of An Saga saved the world, didn’t he?
>>131In the second work, the goddess helped me and was an incredibly good goddess…
>>137I was lacking in words…
No matter how much I am tossed around, the flow of deciding my future by my own will doesn’t change.
The one with the highest difficulty level to play right now is the WS version of Demon Tower.
>>132If it’s WS, then it must be Romancing SaGa too, right?
I want the first SaGa to be remade soon.
>>135They said that even with a remake, there’s not much that can be done because the original is basically short.
It seems that the first generation was created with the assumption that it could be completed in the 8-hour flight to Hawaii.
>>135I want humans to become stronger just by buying from stores as before.
Even if the upper Sag does not directly involve the gods, the Saga can still be felt…
Some kind of spirit of challenge…?
Saga Scarlet isn’t really about the creator god toying with people… It’s a bit like having a strict mom…
By the time you reach SaGa Frontier 2, it gets milder with lines like, “Oh, are you longing for mommy’s breasts?”
I’ve never played Romancing SaGa 3, but is it interesting?
>>143If you say it’s interesting, then it is interesting!
Isn’t the scenario a bit thrown together? Try not to worry about it.
>>143I have no idea why the protagonists are closing the Abyss Gate, but it’s interesting as we continue.
The background music is good too.
>>143There are some good points, but many issues arise due to the deadlines, leading to a lack of thoroughness in the production.
>>143There is no story at all and it is filled with various unfinished parts, so it would be tough for someone who loves stories.
>>143Remasters are often talked about, but they are quite easy to play.
If you can break the rules, there are already some ridiculously effective money-making methods available, and if you use those to stock up on early-game equipment from shops, the difficulty decreases significantly.
>>143It’s the usual old Saga where the combat is fun, but the explanations of the settings and equipment are lacking.
It’s just that the usual Saga elements are strong.
Ribe Saga was a type of work that received extremely good reviews, and its sales gradually increased.
I think there might be plans for a Romancing SaGa 3 remake…
In Romancing SaGa 2 and SaGa Frontier 1 and 2, there are no gods, right?
>>148Wasn’t it intentionally made to be a world without gods?
>>156The rumor goes that in SaGa Frontier 2, the technique “Active Kill Beast Flash Strike” is used instead of “Active Kill Beast Divine Strike” because it’s a world without gods.
>>187Since there is Kamui, it doesn’t matter.
>>213Originally, there was the Ainu word “kamuy,” and this is more like a phonetic representation of that…
There’s a war god roll, so it doesn’t matter.
The storyline has a kind of father-killing aspect to it.
I have the impression that there are many stories about protagonists gaining independence.
Romancing SaGa 3 has amazing graphics and music, but the content is quite lacking, so it’s not really suitable for a remake…
It’s great that the weapon AP and shield evasion rate around the time I picked up the bronze shield in Saga 2 GOD are roughly the same as in the GB version!
>>154There is also collaboration for differentiation…
Use a lot of thread…
Plum plum plum
>>172We will now begin the ultimate fusion of the defense system!
>>172At first, I thought, “What does it mean to team up in Saga 2 without a skill system?”
It’s interesting because you can add resistance penetration effects, enhance the range, and add debuffs.
I think additional scenarios are quite a double-edged sword, but it’s amazing that they’re going well.
>>155Because I’m refining it through things like social games and stage performances.
Kawazu, before you completely retire, please publish a book summarizing the settings that haven’t been released for the SaGa series…
>>155Regarding SaGa Frontier 2, there was a person with a fried brain writing a novel that came with the guidebook.
It went well in some places because it was done by someone who was responsible for the scenario in Insaga and was the only one trusted to handle the writing.
>>155If a complete version had been released about a year after the original version, showing this additional scenario, there would have been mixed opinions.
After 20 years, a stage has been set where it’s nice to be able to say that it ended well.
Romancing SaGa 3 has interesting gameplay, but the story is one of the worst in the SaGa series.
Romancing SaGa 3 seems to belong to a pretty challenging category for remakes.
>>158There are a lot of cut parts, so it’s time to add more substance from there.
It seems that Romancing SaGa 1 had a lot of detailed settings originally, but I wonder if the others are the same.
>>166There was an explanation about the history of Mardiass before the main story and in Kawazu’s X.
Huh… I keep coming across things I don’t know at all.
>>166Recently, I was talking in an interview about the SaGa Frontier 2 remaster.
I’ve heard that even if you’re not sure whether you’ll use it or not, you should create the settings first and then make the story and game.
>>166I created a lot of settings and directed the production while keeping them hidden in my heart.
Even if there are unfinished parts that haven’t been adjusted by the deadline, we will submit it anyway, so well, yes.
A few years ago, there were also instances where the god in X revealed unknown settings for Romancing SaGa 3.
>>182I love the story about how I told the staff making the OP that the Holy King is actually a woman, and the staff scolded me for it.
>>194(Ms. Kobayashi was drawing a package with a female image on a whim.)
>>200It’s an interesting woman who writes according to her mood…
I don’t dislike that kind of live vibe because it can bring out handsome guys thanks to the good energy between the god and the lady!
>>194It’s not that I was keeping this in my heart, but I told them that during development, and the staff said it was too obvious, so it was no good.
>>247It’s amazing because it’s more of an ant-like setting now.
>>247Commonplace! Not like Saga at all!!
And so it was kept hidden in my heart until En Saga was released.
If we can quickly present the added parts in the memory format of the Seven Heroes in the dark maze, the main part would probably provide a certain level of satisfaction.
I wish there were a few more side quests in 3.
Romancing SaGa 3 has almost no main story.
But it’s fine, because the direction and music are awesome.
>>168I really love the music and background of the Four Demon Nobles battle.
The first generation of Pokémon in the GB was so randomly growth that it didn’t even have 100 HP while running through the city on a bike.
It feels like the right answer is to kill and replace because if I lived, I would refuse.
Ribelsaga is interesting, but it didn’t really have that dry, distant feeling unique to the Saga series.
I think searching for a teacher is as bad as Eme’s trade.
>>170Rather, it was really cute, so I decided that I would definitely play Saga 2.
>>170I want to be able to see the teacher even if I’m on the second lap, without them disappearing.
>>197I miss your cute butt, teacher.
If you think about it, what does “Saga-like” really mean…?
But there is definitely a sense of Saga to it.
>>174The name of the 7-hit combo that the final boss confidently unleashes in Ribesaga is
“When it was ‘Psycho Kush Temp Poseidon Mario Soul Red Dragon Wave,’ I felt like, (Ah, I’m really into the Saga series right now…).”
Look at this Aldura who has become a Mirzaki in the extra scenario!
