Builders 1 & 2
Terryman
Recommendation!?
Recommendation!?
Hero Onunume
Tonura!?
Well, it’s fine to just play the new 11S.
Builder’s 2 Recommendation
What do you all think about the fact that the HD-2D version of Dragon Quest 1 is no longer in a one-on-one battle format?
>>9I was more looking forward to 1 and 2 than 3, but I’m thinking of waiting and seeing how this and the false hero go.
Recommendation?!
DQM3 is half price, but does it feel like a complete version only after adding various DLCs?
>>11Honestly, I think it’s better to buy Ilulukas SP than DQM3.
>>15If it’s Illusory Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional, I’ve already bought it.
I wonder why they keep releasing past works only on smartphones…
>>11If you’re going to buy something just in case, you should only buy the one called “Recollection.”
ggrks
The recent reviews for Dragon Quest 3: No Name aren’t very good, but what do you think?
>>14It’s not just anonymous; it’s socially poorly regarded.
>>19Somewhat popular on Steam (very popular recently)
Even though it has a rating of 4.3 on Amazon, is it socially unpopular?
>>128Well, that’s the flow above since there are many people who tend to exaggerate things.
I have some complaints too, but I wouldn’t say everything is bad.
>>14I think everything written online is mostly true.
>>14It’s fun until you clear it.
I can’t recommend it to those who only play until they clear it.
>>21I want details.
>>14It’s not a terrible game that you can’t play, but there were many parts that made me go “hmm…” while playing, so it wasn’t very enjoyable.
The screen is beautiful, but the map is unnecessarily large and the movement is slow, which makes it somewhat tedious.
It’s nice to be able to watch nostalgic events with voiceovers, but I feel like it’s all wrapped up in a sense of memory correction.
The combat balance has improved with the update, but other cumbersome aspects remain the same, so if I had to give it a rating out of 5, it would feel like a 3, not really worth the effort.
For those who want to experience Dragon Quest 3 without actually playing it, it might be okay to do that.
>>14I haven’t played since the update changed things.
Before the update, the damage calculation changes and the increased number of enemies made it really tough for physical jobs that focus on single-target attacks.
Some event scenes have been voiced, but to be honest, it doesn’t seem like it’s enhancing the events.
I think I can enjoy it until I defeat Zoma, even with some dissatisfaction.
>>14It is best to keep in mind that it is the voice of a type of person who raises their voice loudly even among the nameless.
>>69The trick is to undermine the other person’s character without specifically refuting the content.
>>73See, that’s the true nature of someone without a name.
Remember this well.
Oh! It’s a recommendation!
To die.
“Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional Recommendation”
It’s been a while, but I laughed.
Regarding the fact that even the anonymous replies have become old works.
I want…
It’s fun while I’m doing it.
The quality is poor.
Null pointer exception
>>27Is there something good that happens if you don’t get “gatted”?
I’m currently lazily playing Dragon Quest 11, which I haven’t played in about 20 years, so it feels nostalgic and fun.
I’m not saying anything bad, but it’s better to buy the original versions of 1 to 6 at a second-hand shop.
>>29I completely agree.
Good thread bump.
Don’t age, sage up!
>>31You too, huh?
Calm down, everyone.
How is the offline version of 10 different from the online version?
>>36The balance of necessary experience points for offline play has changed, and crafting elements have been omitted.
“Offline has a low body proportion.”
The offline mode only has the story up to 2.0, including DLC.
>>43In online mode, you can hire another player as an NPC character at Ruida’s Tavern to go on adventures (sometimes there are characters who will fight alongside you as part of the scenario).
In offline mode, important NPCs in the scenario become allies, and party conversations are rich and fulfilling.
Also, whether there is a voice or not.
Why did the damage calculation formula change?
I’m just over-glorifying SFC’s 3 due to nostalgia, but SFC’s 3 is really fun…
>>39Dragon Quest has mostly stuck to its fundamentals, but HD2D3 couldn’t even manage that.
The broken promises are mostly not getting any better, so it’s tough.
>>40Is that so…?
There were many elements that made me wonder why they changed things like stopping monster companions in DS6 and having symbol encounters in DS7…
On the contrary, I think it’s good that the main part of the poorly rated 4 hasn’t changed.
>>47Isn’t random encounters pretty good?
Random encounters are quite tedious at this point.
>>51Not good.
The symbol is more tiring.
I bought 7 leaks.
I’m excited to see how terrible the big lighthouse is!
>>42I think it’s crazy that I’m forced to climb this ridiculously terrible map four times.
>>48In 7, I’ve been constantly hearing about gathering stone tablets, but I really hated that. Congratulations on clearing it, now go dive into the same dungeon in the present…
>>75It feels really stressful that we’re trying to do various things in 3D for the town’s flow and all.
I’ll let it go because Maribel is here…
>>86Thank you.
Well, I’m going to leave the party then…
>>75Upon reflection, even in modern times, delving into dungeons was originally also about gathering stone tablets.
Collecting stone tablets is crap.
1 and 2 are something to look forward to, right!?
Is the new Monsters movie out yet?
In Remake 3, it’s not entirely wrong to say that equipment drops frequently.
No matter how you look at it, there are just too many equipment pieces lying around, and as a result, there’s no need to buy new gear, which further lowers the motivation for combat.
I’m not interested in buying a 3DS anymore, so I thought about buying the smartphone versions of 7 and 8, but it seems like 8 has especially bad reviews.
According to Horii, if things continue as they are, the production line will be reduced, and eventually the development of DQ itself might be frozen, so it might be better to conclude the IP with 12.
Since 6’s occupational elements and companion monster elements were horrifically incompatible, I can definitely understand why they would make it a fixed companion.
So when it was said that the part that disappeared would be filled only with companion slimes and companion conversations, it turned out not to be the case, as there were many regrets, like Terry’s enhancement being weak and Drango becoming much stronger.
>>52Well, while the bad reputation is increasing, I think it wasn’t as bad as people say.
At least, it’s not an abnormal person who’s completely broken.
>>64The conversations between friends are oddly well-crafted considering various situations, and they’re really enjoyable.
Honestly, minor things like Terry or Drango enhancements don’t really matter much until the Dream battle; they’re within a range that can be handled easily.
Heh heh heh… It seems like this is a hot topic thread.
Is the smartphone version 8 the 3DS version?
>>54Wasn’t it for PS2?
>>74The content was probably something that had slightly improved graphics compared to the PS2.
Give me the 3DS version of Base 8 on my smartphone!
The smartphone 8 is an adjusted version of the PS.
I’m interested in Builders, but I wonder how long it takes to complete it.
>>59Clearing the scenario takes 20 to 30 hours.
Feel free to do as much as you want if you’re really into it.
It would have been nice if I could adjust the encounter rate and the multipliers for experience and gold like in Pikriema.
It’s fine even if I can’t play around with thorns.
If it’s just clearing the Builders, there’s not that much volume.
I only played Builders 2, but I found myself wandering around and time just melted away infinitely.
I bought Ilulka SP on sale and was having fun playing continuously, but when I lined up the Heart Knights, I didn’t know what to do next.
>>65It’s something about the clouds of the world.
After all, the original game 6 tends to be a bit overloaded in terms of system.
Although 6 has degraded, if you look at it alone without knowing the original, it can still be played normally.
3 is simply lower because the comfort level and balance are off.
The companions in number 6 were honestly mediocre.
If I were to lose it, I wouldn’t have minded, but to be left with just the slime… it felt like that.
>>70It is said that the entire buddy function could not be deleted because there is a combat arena.
With just the people and the slots for people, the carriage becomes nearly full.
Moreover, it’s rather strange that there are more monsters.
It was disappointing that the remake didn’t have any added stories or events.
There are things you can only gain from a damn gloomy 7.
After six months, adjustments have finally been made, but the monster tamer is too strong, and the overall combat balance is quite poor, as it seems like you can pretty much manage anything just by using Lullaby.
It’s tough that even though Remake 6 has graphics, there were no Bubble Slimes, Metal Slimes, or Bess.
As briefly mentioned above, 11 is undeniably a masterpiece until the normal completion, and it’s generally a good work throughout.
I think it’s very good in terms of cost performance, so I recommend it.
But Maribel will cosplay for me.
The SFC sound source of 6 is really good, so that’s something I’m curious about.
I thought it would be better to wrap up the series before Horii dies.
I was disappointed that even though they updated it, they didn’t fix the skill acquisition levels for the martial artist and warrior…
Builders 2 was enjoyable even for those who haven’t played Minecraft.
It took about 4 to 50 hours to clear even if I played normally.
>>91It’s easy to play because the goals are set.
That doesn’t mean that the level of freedom is low.
And the story is incredibly good.
Personally, I also like the PS version of 7, so I would be happy if that becomes easy to play too.
The stories of Builders 1 and 2 are both highly regarded.
>>95It’s interesting as a game and has a story that really resonates with series players.
I’ll wait for it to drop to half price since I won’t be playing Dragon Quest 3 right away.
The DQ team has lost their development room, and Square Enix’s cuts to DQ are steadily progressing.
I don’t know about Builders 1, but I really like the situation in 2 where you fight alongside the villagers.
If you’re going to do HD3, it’s 100 times more fun to play the original.
By the way, I wonder if people who say they’re going to play Dragon Quest after the release of 1 & 2 will end up playing in the order of 1 > 2 > 3.
I haven’t played Builders 1 and 2…
Since it’s a rare opportunity, let’s try buying it.
I guess it’s better to start from 1 when it comes to Builders?
Is Builders really that interesting…?
11 seconds is interesting.
My companions are just so captivating.
Builders captures the essence of Dragon Quest while allowing for easy and fun play in a sandbox.
There’s no particular connection between Builders 1 and 2, so you can start with 2.
Even if I want to do it later, the update made it quite comfortable, so there’s no problem.
>>107Oh, I see.
That’s really great!
>>107Thank you, especially since there’s no connection.
Builders have comfortable builder tools, and there are goals and ways to create rooms, so it’s really easy to work with.
However, in the first game, it’s a stage-clear type where items and levels are reset each time a stage ends, so some people may not like that.
>>109It feels like the specifications are quite different…
Builders are said to be a Minecraft clone.
I want people who haven’t played Minecraft for some reason to give it a try.
It’s a story of destruction and rebirth in the world of Dragon Quest.
The PS2 version 8 is enjoyable, but the 3DS version is too strong…
A major update that makes you think, “This is how much we can improve in ten years.”
Builders don’t have the same freedom as Minecraft, but they have clear goals, so for those who wonder what to create when they say freedom, it’s really helpful.
Both Builders 1 and 2 have great stories.
Unlike Minecraft, there are always tasks telling you to do this and do that.
For those who don’t know what to do in Minecraft, Builders seems like an easier option instead.
I’ve still been playing Builders 2 occasionally, and my playtime has exceeded 1000 hours.
If you’re going to play Builders, you should start with the first one because the controls in the second one are way more comfortable.
The Builders are connected to DQ1 for the first game and DQ2 for the second, so they are particularly separate and not directly related.
>>120Isn’t it more like a spin-off or an “if” scenario for each of them?
I’m interested, so if it’s cheap, I might give it a try.
Since the first part is done, alright, I’ll decorate the base now, but I’ll still have to do my best alone in the next continent.
>>121And even if a wonderful city is built, the people who live there…
>>121Well, that’s what makes it feel like a final chapter…
It’s not just with Builders, but if you plan to do everything, you definitely need to start from the first game; otherwise, you’ll run into issues with the controls being inconvenient.
I think the Builders series is a great game that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people despite its unique appearance.
It’s tough that Builders 3 isn’t coming out because the guy who was in charge stepped down.
>>125I’m saying I’ll go if I’m called, so it’s just that Square Enix hasn’t called me.
Call quickly.
>>131If I could go, I would, but that’s impossible… They probably won’t hire people from outside.
Honestly, I think the DQ brand should be temporarily shut down and started over because 3 was too terrible.
There’s nothing good that comes from doing things out of inertia.
>>127From what position and perspective are you coming from?
Does Deborah appear in Smartphone 5?
>>130It’s based on the DS version, so it’s appearing.
>>140Well then, this is my first Deborah.
I’m going to marry Flora.
It’s better to play it the way it was during the Super Famicom days.
In the boss battle, the town created gets destroyed; was that addressed in 2?
>>133Residents worked hard to put everything back to normal!
The Steam version of Builders 1 has incorporated various improvements and convenient features from 2, making it easier to play, so I recommend it.
I played the non-HD-2D version of the ported 3 until I defeated the goddess dragon, but isn’t it inferior compared to the GB and SFC versions?
Why are the newly added BGM in the remake gone?
Let’s play 10 together. It’s cheap and has a lot of volume.
>>139I might have done it if my height didn’t drop offline…
>>150Even in the trial version, you can experience a high-quality story with that level of detail (´;ω;`) Bwaa!
If a remake of Fate/Extra comes out, I might return to Builders 3.
Only those who played the Trial Temple before the update can throw stones without any debate, 3 remake.
The rest is generally said more than necessary.
It seems that HD-2D1 and 2 were decided to be released from the beginning, but since the reputation of 3 isn’t that great, the hopes for a Sky series seem slim…
>>144If there is a remake of Tenkū, I personally want it to be made in 3D.
Although the Lotto series has already been remade in 2D, it’s about time they start the 3D remake route as well.
>>151I want it to be done with a 3D model like in 11.
But before that, it’s probably 12.
>>144Since there are no means to play Tenkuu on current devices other than smartphones, it will likely be released eventually.
>>153It seems that “eventually” will take a long time…
If you’re going to play Builders 1, you definitely should play the original Dragon Quest 1 first.
Steam’s somewhat favorable reviews are actually unfavorable.
>>147This guy… is already broken…
I think that the excessive criticism is one thing, but the final evaluation of 3 tends to be negative because there are many drawbacks in the post-clear content.
>>148The general assessment is that it’s somewhat manageable until you clear it, but it becomes tough after clearing.
Is 10 now playable even in the browser…?
>>152Seriously!?
After clearing it, it’s just a pastime for idle people, so it’s fine if it’s tough.
