I finally got to see “Gundam SEED: The Sword that Descends.”

Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

In the previous episode, there was nothing good happening to Kira until now.

Finally, I have the determination to shake off my worries.

Launch from the plant → Four times faster than the strike! Too fast!

That scene is exactly cool.

The descending sword saves AA from a pinch after a shooting from above, with a thread image (BGM: Meteor).

After that, it will become a serious situation because of the evacuation advisories from the Alaska base.

The descending sword itself doesn’t really show off Freedom’s unmatched prowess, does it?

The cut of the thread image is really cool.

Also, the three fools who had already shown their faces in the opening…

“The fact that the Union is being protected by Coordinators is itself strange,” said the bureaucrats of the Union.

I thought those boosted guys would come here and engage in combat with Cody’s Kira.

I’m still waiting and can’t wait to fight!

2: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx20

I believe it is the start of an ideal new development.

3: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx6

Even if you are very active in freedom, it’s a heavy start knowing that there is a limited life…

5: Japan Otaku Reviews

I would be happy if “Meteor” played in the movie, but it doesn’t seem like the kind of work where that would fit. When I went to see it, something unbelievable happened.

Moreover, it was a work that was based on Meteor.

6: Japan Otaku Reviews

I recently found out that there is an HG kit to recreate this scene, and I laughed.

7: Japan Otaku Reviews

When I first saw it, I thought, “Please let me help that soldier…”

8: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

>>7

It’s not going to go that conveniently, right? (laughs)

9: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

>>7

I thought, this anime really doesn’t get anything right when it comes to human life…

I never want to be born in the Common Era.

10: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

It’s great when Kira says “fall back” to the archangel in such a cool voice.

When Maryu-san awkwardly conveyed the shameful self-destruct plan of the Federation, this awkwardness was nice too.

Hearing that, Kira’s decision to withdraw everyone, including the ZAFT, is even better.

11: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

>>10

This is something I’ve always wanted to do.

Both the Alliance and ZAFT wanted to put an end to the war.

12: Japan Otaku Reviews

My brain was totally fried here, so the feeling of despair in the movie version was incredible.

35: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>12

There is a mystery gimmick where this captain’s seat gets ejected.

13: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s been quite a while ago, but…

They released the commentary featuring the three cast members of Maruyumukiira on YOUTUBE.

It’s definitely something that will be included in the Blu-ray box or something like that.

Unlike usual, the voice actor actually talked about the work and the recording in the commentary.

16: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>13

Is it the Complete Box version?

The commentary for the individual items (four of each) is mostly enjoyable as it’s filled with memories from almost ten years ago, but it felt slightly lacking.

14: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

I just saw the first appearance of the three idiots.

The current HD remaster being broadcast has one shot of the Asuka family’s evacuation scene in it.

A raider carrying Calamity is flying at low altitude.

This didn’t exist originally, did it?

15: Japan Otaku Reviews

The remaster has had quite a bit of work done, with increased scenes and corrections to the animation.

Naturally, there was no existence of Shin during the time of the original SEED.

21: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>15

During Patrick Zala’s speech in the Siegel Klein purge, there are scenes where he has already entered the ZAFT military academy.

They’re making an excessive effort to set up for the next work…

17: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

When viewed with the familiar image of the three idiots plus Azunyan as the typical adversaries, one is surprised at how unexpectedly late they make their appearance.

18: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>17

Finally in episode 38 out of a total of 49 episodes…!?

It’s episode 35 of the descending sword.

It’s tighter in the second half than I expected.

You were showing Kira the hell of fighting alone that much.

22: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>18

Among the Gundams that have had changes over the generations, the Freedom is quite slow.

They often appear around episodes 25 to 26, which is about half of the total 50 episodes.

Was the production quite delayed?

19: Japan Otaku Reviews

Having only feelings or only strength is not enough, though.

Well, if having both would somehow make things work, that’s not the case.

20: Japan Otaku Reviews

If you ask whether riding on freedom makes you invincible, it’s not necessarily true, as it mostly ends up being a fight to help others escape…

23: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>20

I wonder if they became non-lethal from here to create such a development.

25: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

>>23

“Well done! You finally took down a Gundam, huh?”

“Blitz! Well done!”

“Lieutenant Kira! No, that’s not it anymore! Hahaha!”

I had the worst impression after being told that just after I killed my friend’s companion…

26: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>25

There were also crew members making light of Kira’s loss and Thor’s death.

Even though there was no malicious intent, it’s admirable that you were able to forgive so easily…

27: Japan Otaku Reviews

Why were you able to go all the way to the hangar of Freedom without being stopped!?

28: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

>>27

The hands of the Klein faction reach even here… you!!!

30: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

>>28

In fact, bringing it all the way to all green and making it hatch open is exactly that.

29: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s terrible for ZAFT when two out of three new Gundams, which are the trump cards, are taken away, and Aslan betrays them.

I’m counting on you, Cruze!

32: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>29

If anything, that prototype that was supposed to be dismantled and discarded has leaked into the private sector.

The nuclear-equipped striker system test machine has also been stolen.

31: Japan Otaku Reviews

If Aslan had been riding Freedom at that point, it would have been uncontrollable.

33: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

It’s tough that the flagship Operation Spitfire has essentially failed.

34: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

I like how Mariyu conveys the situation to Kira with a flustered voice.

36: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s a sword that descends precisely because there’s a tense atmosphere from the orb.

37: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

The moment Kira hears about the Cyclops from Marute, it’s nice how he calls out over the radio regardless of the ZAFT alliance.

40: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>37

The scenario where you can’t save the ZAFT soldiers and have to push them off is too cruel…

38: Japan Otaku Reviews

Rax is also quite determined here, isn’t she?

39: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>38

If we had been more aggressive in winning over Dekoran earlier on, would the damage have been less?

41: Japan Otaku Reviews

Asking Lacus “Who are you?” in front of Freedom is perfect communication…

42: Japan Otaku Reviews

Looking back, I realize that Kira has been pretty stressed all along…

45: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

>>42

In other words, it hasn’t felt good to win like this since the movie version…

53: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>45

Isn’t the theatrical version also pretty close to the limit?

It feels like we were able to win because the tightrope strategy went smoothly.

57: Japan Otaku Reviews

>>53

What is meant by “winning comfortably” here is not the same as “winning in a solid state.”

43: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx3

Isn’t it usually considered a type of overwhelming strength when someone who was shooting one by one suddenly deals with a colorful beam and carelessly dominates the duel?

44: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx4

I love the part where they confront the duel, and as the shuttle recalls, they change their aim from the cockpit to the legs.

46: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Muu, what is that perverted maneuver?

47: Japan Otaku Reviews

It’s more for self-defense than defeating, so it’s multi-lock-on as well.

48: Japan Otaku Reviews

I thought that the scene was so cool when I saw the remastered version of “Akatsuki no Car.”

It’s about getting excited when the second verse of the song comes in.

49: Japan Otaku Reviews

When I look around here and at Destroy, it’s no wonder I can’t trust Eurasia, the Atlantic, or Compass, right?

50: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx1

Isn’t it strange that the strong Izark would take the initiative to charge into the center and get taken out by the Cyclops? → It’s a bit funny that Kruz helped out.

51: Japan Otaku Reviews

If we go by just impressions, they finally showed their face just one episode before the final.

There are also those like Providence that caused immense destruction just in the final episode…

52: Japan Otaku ReviewsYeahx2

Many people get their brains fried by this scene, but personally, I also like the line from the ZAFT soldier who was saved afterward, “It would have been quicker to kill me.”

54: Japan Otaku Reviews

Dun dun…

55: Japan Otaku Reviews

I just recently completed it, and it was really great.

Without hesitation, I watched “Jiyuu” and thought that those seeing it for the first time as a new supply in 20 years would surely be ecstatic.

56: Japan Otaku Reviews

Mugen is Mugen, you know.

This is the scene where Kira has finally gained the power to fight for herself.

That aside, the Cyclops is operational, and the Zaftran soldier who took my hand cannot be saved.

58: Japan Otaku Reviews

Not killing is also to protect my own heart, but I’m prepared to defeat my opponents when necessary.

At first glance, it may seem that his beliefs are wavering, but Kira is truly expressing in his words that he is searching for the right opponent to fight.

But I don’t get that it’s based on the rowdy general!
