On May 27, 2025, Dragon Quest 12 will celebrate its 4th anniversary of announcement.

I didn’t expect that no information would come out by now…
>>1
Are you a beginner at Dragon Quest?
What does that mean?
What was Dragon Quest 12 like again?
I remember doing up to 11S.
>>4
I am worried that the slime might be laid off.
I wonder how they will arrange the remake of 1 and 2.
>>6
They said they won’t mess with it that much.
>>14
I think it would be more boring than a 3 if it wasn’t played with.
>>16
Well, if it comes out, I’ll probably buy it.
Congratulations on the fetal movement! 🥳
I always say that no matter how amazing the creators are, a game that can’t be played is just pie in the sky.
Not even a picture comes out.
While every manufacturer is trying to speed up their cycle, Dragon Quest remains unchanged.
Ah-
“Announcement” 4th anniversary, huh?
It’s not the 4th anniversary of the “release.”
Sakk
In recent years, there seems to be a tendency not to release information unless it’s extremely close to completion, almost as if it’s a matter of pride to not do so until the anniversary.
The first edition of 11 was 8 years ago.
It was six years ago.
Speaking of 11, it’s Humphrey.
I haven’t seen it in thumbnails recently.
>>24
If I had kept standing, would I have become friends with Mu-chan…?
>>32
It seems disadvantaged because there are few templates and a character designed by Toriyama called Cell.
It’s good that information control is well-established.
…Are you really making it?
>>25
Since I finally remembered the third thing, I’m making it now.
Right…?
About two years after that announcement, Yuji Horii started saying, “It’s not good to announce something when there’s no timeline for its release,” so I think he will remain silent until there’s a clear plan for release in the future.
Just because you spend a lot of time on something doesn’t necessarily mean it will turn out well; honestly, I don’t have high expectations because the same was true for the third remake.
I really want them to do something about the current play environment from 4 to 9, as it’s terrible.
>>28
What about the smartphone? There’s no 9 though.
>>29
Smartphones are honestly on the decline…
>>29
In the past, new remakes (ports) of Monsters were continuously being released, but…
Smartphones are not suitable for reaching new kids’ demographics…
The kids who saw the presentation in junior high are already in high school now.
Isn’t it amazing?
I wonder which is better, spending 4 years on just two title screen images or releasing at least the key visual even though it still hasn’t sold.
Well, if they don’t release it quickly, no matter how they try, it’s going to be bad.
>>12
Is 11 not an S? It’s a game from 8 years ago…
It’s strange that they were so enthusiastic about porting games back in the DS era, but now they’ve hardly done any for the Switch… More than half of FF is playable, but is it just because we have smartphones now…?
>>36
FF has been well-represented with both remakes and VC.
Pikmin has been delayed longer than usual, but on the other hand, now you can play VIIVIIIIXXX-2XII on Nintendo hardware.
>>42
Let me do 13 too!
If I may be so greedy, I’d like all of it to be remade with an 11 engine.
The FF7 Remake was announced in 2015, released in January 2020, and the release dates for February 2024 and March are still undecided, so this is probably how this manufacturer’s AAA titles are.
>>40
Everyone is just feeling anxious because there are no progress reports.
It might be that the release date is decided on the exact 4th anniversary of Dragon Quest Day.
Based on what has happened so far, a mysterious ritual begins on the day the release date announcement is decided.
>>40
If Dragon Quest comes out with that quality, I wouldn’t mind waiting that long…
Sugiyan and Akira…
Perhaps next year at the start of the year, there’s a CM where SMAP is doing their first shrine visit and wishing “I hope we can make it this year.”
>>43
I guess I’ll do a commercial about living long too!
I honestly thought the remake was scrapped, but somehow it got released anyway…
Even if they stumble, it’s nice that there’s already an escape route prepared, saying, “After all, the top three weren’t all there, so it couldn’t be helped.”
Since long ago, Dragon Quest has been known for its late releases, or rather, its announcements come too early.
Let’s air a commercial wishing for a quick exit!
Even if Dragon Quest Walk collaborated with Dragon Ball, it wouldn’t really become a topic of discussion…
>>51
At least it’s a blue dragon.
>>51
I wonder if they’re looking for something after Z…
>>51
Because it only affects people who play Dragon Quest Walk, right?
Dragon Ball fans probably won’t think, “Really? Son Goku is going to appear in Dragon Quest Walk?! I should give it a try!”
Didn’t you say something about having some issues about a year ago and that you were going to throw away all the materials you had made up to that point and start over from scratch?
>>52
That is the prediction of the leaker.
With Toriyama and Sugiyama having passed away, it’s no longer a time for production.
The smartphone spin-off titles are quick to collaborate and adapt, aren’t they?
I still can’t believe that nothing happened on the live broadcast of X even once…
“They’re trying to target kids, but are kids really playing Dragon Quest that much?”
>>58
It’s not about making children want it, but rather expecting adults to buy it for them.
>>58
There has been an increase in baby products like slimes for kids, right?
Speaking of kids, when it comes to things like hero-themed calculation drills or kanji drills, it’s more about parents choosing and providing them rather than the children wanting them on their own.
I wonder if there’s something like this.
>>61
He might take up the position in the bird mountain.
>>65
That’s just too unreasonable…
Since 11S turned out so well that it wouldn’t be strange for it to be the final work, I can afford to wait leisurely.
I want information.
I’ve always thought that not just with Dragon Quest, Square Enix’s merchandise is all released in-house, making it expensive and having limited distribution.
>>68
Whenever I start wanting action figures.
Not for sale…
I tried to redo the 3 remake, but I ran out of time and had to force it out.
I think it was better than not fixing it, but the charm of Romancing SaGA is lacking.
>>70
The desperate measures of the interview on Monster Battle Road.
I felt sorry for them.
I wonder if the red lotto gear will be properly collected.
It’s a bit sad that 3HD was not so great.
Dragon Quest 1 and 2 will be released between September and December, so is 12 around 2027?
I don’t understand why 11 is rated so highly.
It doesn’t seem boring at all, but it feels like an ordinary game that doesn’t have anything particularly noteworthy.
>>75
It’s a comet that appeared in a place that hasn’t been notable since after ’08.
>>75
Many uncles and aunts can be satisfied if Dragon Quest adds some flavor to that mediocre game.
Yuji Horii: “12 is the first adult-oriented dark fantasy in the series!”
Dragon Quest fan (…Huh… I never intended it to be dark until now…)
I couldn’t help but laugh.
The format of 9 is unique, and 10 is an online game.
Amidst all that, a standard Dragon Quest is just appreciated as it is.
I think Dragon Quest is great because it has a wide fan base and is a classic.
You don’t have to force in something that seems like it would appeal to otaku.
Isn’t 3HD more of a revision with some changes and adjustments rather than a beautiful remake, and it doesn’t seem to go well?
All I know are rumors that the female warrior is no longer erotic…
>>82
If you don’t pay too much attention to the parts where the enthusiasts are making a fuss,
A playful feeling.
It’s easy to say that something is safe and enjoyable just because you know it, so HD3 isn’t really that bad.
Stop ruining crucial titles with missed opportunities due to package shortages, Square Enix. I think it’s utterly ridiculous.
It would have been better to just directly convert SFC3 to HD2D.
The added scenario was good, but…
Because Dai is not getting any attention from the kids, it seems he’s not willing to spend money.
>>87
Don’t blame it on Dai.
The game is completely boring without any consideration or remorse.
Since 3HD was really something that I felt was not worth the full price, I will skip 1 and 2.
>>83
It’s the aging process, isn’t it?
DQ3HD is like gum that loses its flavor the longer you chew it, so it’s smartest to clear the main storyline while it’s still sweet and then sell it to a secondhand shop.
Recent Dragon Quest titles have just been riding the wave of failures, that’s all, especially 3HD.
>>91
Treasures
Monsters 3
HD2D
I thought there would be 12 because it’s the 40th anniversary in 26 years.
There wasn’t a mainline Dragon Quest game released in ’96, ’06, or ’16 either.
I played Dragon Quest 3 HD for 160 hours and completed everything.
I feel like there’s no one who would go that far… especially towards the end.
It felt like training…
Both Treasures and Monsters 3 have their flaws, but they are not boring.
3 is boring.
Now is the time when we need a commercial for “I hope it comes out.”
Aren’t they supposed to release it around the year of Dragon Quest Day this year?
12 is also Akira Toriyama and Koichi Sugiyama.
It seems you finished your work and then passed away…
>>99
Well, the biggest factor in the lengthy development of Dragon Quest is probably Hori’s change of direction.
